The One AM Radio’s Hrishikesh

by Lara Sanders

“It would mean more food for everybody, less waste, less pollution, and cleaner water. I think it would just be better for everybody.” —Hrishikesh on vegetarianismIf dreams had musical accompaniment, Hrishikesh Hirway, aka The One AM Radio, would provide the soundtrack. We at peta2 are proud to say that we knew this critically acclaimed electronic composing mastermind and longtime vegetarian way back when.

We recently sat down with Hrishikesh at a slightly noisy restaurant in D.C. and found out that his longtime vegetarianism stems from his equal love for the environment and his mom’s home cooking. Check it out below.

We agree with Hrishikesh that a vegetarian world would be better for everybody. In fact, it would be awesome. Not only is a vegetarian diet better for the environment than driving a hybrid car is, it’s also healthier for you and good for animals (of course) too.

So whether you’re thinking about going vegetarian for health reasons, for the environment, or for animals, the first step is just one click away.
