Do people you care about still eat meat? Do you wish there were some way to show them what animals go through on factory farms and in slaughterhouses? This Thanksgiving, may we suggest sending them this special video e-card featuring powerful footage of animals on factory farms and in slaughterhouses set to the touching song “Free Me” by John Feldmann of the band Goldfinger. In just three minutes, this influential video and personal message from John Feldmann effectively conveys the ethical reasons why all compassionate people should be vegetarian.

Says John, "If you love animals as I do, you must watch this video and show it to others. Do it for … animals, do it for your health, do it for the planet, and do it for our future …"

Please, do as John suggests and show this compelling video to anyone and everyone who still needs convincing. Now is the perfect time to encourage everyone you know to celebrate a vegetarian holiday season. After you send the video e-card to 10 friends, you will be entered in a drawing to win Liberation, a PETA compilation CD starring Good Charlotte, The Used, Goldfinger, Midtown, Conor Oberst’s band Desaparecidos, The Eyeliners, NOFX, Good Riddance, and more. There will be six grand prize winners-those individuals who send out the most e-cards-who will win one of the Sessions products featured in our "What to Wear" section. It’s all up for grabs — but you gotta work for it!

Hi, I'm John Feldmann. When my band [Goldfinger] was touring Europe in 1999, a truckload of chickens passed our tour bus on the freeway. They were on the way to the slaughterhouse. A few miles up the road we stopped for food, and the same truckload of chickens was there. I stood outside the truck and listened to the chickens crying in fear. I felt so powerless. I thought, "If I release some of the animals, they will be hit by cars. If I try to rescue them, they would be confiscated at the border" (which was 10 minutes away). I was on my knees crying because I could do nothing to change these peaceful, beautiful, sentient animals' fate. That night, I wrote "Free Me." Maybe I could help by speaking for the animals [who] cannot speak. I made the video out of footage from "Meet Your Meat." I have since met hundreds of people [who] have gone vegetarian from watching it. … I hope you will go vegetarian, too, and have a happy turkey-free Thanksgiving.
