Since forming in 1994, BOYSETSFIRE have never been shy about voicing their opinions. Their well-articulated beliefs and searing riffs have helped them become a household name throughout the hardcore scene, and Rolling Stone has dubbed them “a band to watch.”

So it came as no surprise to peta2 when bassist Robert Ehrenbrand and guitarist Chad Istvan wanted to sit down with us and have a chat about animal rights. The whole band loves animals, and Robert and Chad have both been vegetarians for more than half a decade. Watch the interview to hear what these talented and thoughtful musicians have to say about how easy it is to be veg, and why having compassion for animals is sexy.
