Glamour Kills "Adopt, Don't Buy" Posters

Glamour Kills and peta2 have been besties since we first teamed up to help spread the word that "animal testing breaks hearts." After seeing how much everyone loved the tees that GK designed for the campaign, we knew that we had to go back for more for the "Elephants Never Forget" campaign. As if there was any doubt, GK hit it out of the park again! So naturally, we felt it was time to up the ante and bring you guys something really special.

One issue that's especially close to the hearts of those at both peta2 and Glamour Kills is animal adoption. Who doesn't want a cuddly friend to be part of their family, and why on Earth would you ever buy from a pet store or a breeder, when there are millions of loving animals dying for homes in animal shelters all across the country?

Every year, 6 to 8 million cats and dogs enter already crowded animal shelters, and roughly half of them must be euthanized for a lack of a good home. Meanwhile, female dogs at puppy mills are being forced to breed over and over again in order to keep pet stores stocked with new litters of puppies.

Buying an animal from a pet store or a breeder means denying a shelter animal a chance at life. That's why Glamour Kills says, "Boycott dog breeders" and "Pet stores are for suckers." Adopt your new best friend!
