Ryan From Catch 22


Ryan Eldred loves to cook. Just what kind of food does the Catch 22 saxophone player and vocalist like to whip up when he’s at home? Vegetarian, of course!

Ryan, who helped found Catch 22 back in 1996, has been traveling down the vegetarian path for the past three years. Although Ryan was once the band’s lone veggie, trombone player Ian McKenzie and trumpet player/vocalist Kevin Gunther have since joined him in his flesh-free endeavor.

Of course, Ryan, Ian, and Kevin can’t cook while they’re on tour, so these guys have used their vegetarianism as an excuse to get creative and avoid the band’s old routine of eating McDonald’s every day.
