We can’t get enough of Death Cab For Cutie. The Seattle quartet, whose latest release, Plans, was recently nominated for a Grammy, not only makes the perfect music for day dreaming, but guitarist Chris Walla is also a longtime vegetarian. He teamed up with peta2 to design a public service announcement (PSA), which shows him standing behind a heaping plate of colorful vegetables next to the tagline “Add Some Color to Your Life—Try Vegetarianism!” So when we heard that the band had released a “road doc” shot entirely on 16 mm film, we knew we had to get in on the action.
The DVD release of Drive Well, Sleep Carefully: On the Road With Death Cab For Cutie had its world premiere at this year’s Seattle International Film Festival and received rave reviews. NPR gave the film two thumbs up, gushing, “Deep, thoughtful and brilliant, Death Cab For Cutie are the best independent band in the country.” We couldn’t agree more—that’s why we’re giving the Drive Well, Sleep Carefully DVD to five grand-prize winners, along with a limited-edition, rare Spin cover poster and a copy of Paste magazine featuring Death Cab For
Cutie on the cover. But that’s not all—five first-runners-up will receive the limited-edition Spin cover poster and Paste magazine, and second-runners-up will walk away with a copy of Paste. To enter the contest, simply fill out the form below before March 6, 2006.
We’re sorry, but the due date for this contest has passed. Go back to peta2.com to check out our latest missions, contests, and features.
