The new Mrs. Chad Michael Murray—a.k.a. Sophia Bush—seems to have a heart as big as her hubby's ... at least when it comes to animals. When Teen Vogue asked the One Tree Hill heartthrob what specifically about his new bride and fellow castmate he's drawn to, Chad said it was her big heart. "A few weeks ago, she took in a stray dog with seven puppies, which was a little bit of a nightmare since we already have five dogs, but I love her for it." So do we. The happy couple are so devoted to helping animals that they didn't let a little thing like a honeymoon get in the way of their support of their four-legged friends—the pair were spotted attending an animal adoption fair the day after their recent nuptials.
Celeb parents are doting on their kids now more than ever, spoiling even the tiniest of tots with outrageously overpriced, unnecessary must-haves of the moment like motorized cars that they’re too young to drive and designer baby clothes that they’ll outgrow in less than a month. But Gwyneth Paltrow and and Chris Martin are starting their daughter Apple off on the right foot. The couple threw her a vegan birthday bash complete with a vegan chocolate cheesecake courtesy of Moby’s teany vegetarian café and teahouse. To make the feast even more special, Gwyneth had the cheesecake topped off with a giant raspberry puree apple ... awww.
Everyone’s favorite blonde bombshell is at it again. Pamela Anderson’s never at a loss for words when it comes to defending animals. The Stacked star recently slammed heartless fur wearers and pelt pushers in Jane magazine, saying, "People who wear fur smell like a wet dog if they're in the rain. And they look fat and gross. They look like really immature, unenlightened, stupid people. When people are so blatant about cruelty, it makes me nauseous." But the vegetarian Venus, who refuses to talk to reporters wearing fur while she's walking the red carpet didn’t stop there—that's right, she went ahead and pointed the finger at two of the biggest offenders, adding, "And they give free coats to idiots like Jennifer Lopez and people who'll wear them. Like Puff Daddy." We're so glad she's on the animals' side.
Heads up Good Charlotte fans—it seems that when the boys are on tour you're likely to find them at your local Starbucks. Benji's admitted that he's hooked on soy lattes and that the band often frequents the popular casa de coffee with their pals from Lola Ray. In other soy news ... Benji's also fessed up to having a bit of a sweet tooth for soy ice cream. "It's really good!" he boasts, and darn it, he's right.
