Pop Quiz: What do you get when you combine a bass and a T-shirt? Good try, but it’s not a fashionable fish! You get peta2’s edgy new tee designed by New Found Glory bassist Ian Grushka.
A gory photograph of a crimson cow head with the caption “Want Fries With That?” makes Grushka’s brainchild as unique and in-your-face as his personal style. Why the gruesome image? “I think you need to tell kids the truth,” he says. “Show them what happens in the slaughterhouses. Kids know right from wrong. They are a lot smarter than we give them credit for.” Hey Ian, we think you’re pretty smart yourself!
Currently headlining a national tour with New Found Glory, Ian’s been donning his new duds on stage at every locale and scanning the audience for other fashion-forward fans.
As Ian’s told us before, “MeetYourMeat.com is my motivator. If that video doesn’t make you want to puke, there is a problem.” But we got the inside scoop during his PETA Catalog photo shoot on why he wanted to design a T-shirt that makes a huge statement without saying a word.
