Things have been going great for our friends in Hawthorne Heights. Their debut album, The Silence in Black and White, went on to have the highest first-week sales of any Victory release ever—even beating out Taking Back Sunday. They played Hellfest, Warped Tour, and the Take Action Tour and have been featured everywhere—from Alternative Press to Fuse TV and now at peta2.com!
Not only have they worked really hard for their success, but Casey and Eron also work really hard for animals. Eron thinks that fur should be worn only by animals and barbaric Neanderthals, and both he and Casey give out veg and anti-fur lit at all their shows. Casey's been a devout vegetarian for seven years and even recorded a radio public service announcement (PSA) asking people to consider vegetarianism because, he says, “You'll also be smarter, healthier, funnier, and better looking. OK—maybe not funnier, but animals will sure love you.” Casey also isn't afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve. He designed his own peta2 stencil during Warped Tour '05 and used it to decorate a T-shirt so that he could sport it around the globe.
Even cooler? Casey's on the peta2 Street Team!
