The Used has never liked eating flesh. Even as a kid, he thought it tasted gross.
 Then one day, he realized that there’s a lot more that’s disgusting about eating animals than the taste, and he swore off eating meat for good. Since then, he’s been helping out animals by playing the Concert for Compassion, doing interviews for PETA2 … and hanging out at our booth during the Warped Tour to autograph stuff … and giving us Used gear for a contest … and—well, you get the point!
Just why is Jeph so adamant about helping animals? Because he knows that the only way to put an end to the cruelty of factory farming is to stop eating meat. He eschews meat products because he doesn’t want animals to spend their entire lives in cages or undergo unnecessary mutilations without anesthesia. He’s just too kind for that.
