Ron Artest Defends Animals

NBA star Ron Artest is a true King on the court, and if you've ever seen him dress down some fool 2-guard who's thinking he's got a clear path to the basket, you know that this tough guy is very capable of defending himself.

But one of the real tests of strength and courage is when a person will defend those who can't defend themselves, and our pal #93 has passed with flying colors. In a new ad for peta2, Ron is challenging others to do the same by saying, "Have the balls to spay or neuter your dog."

So, what's the moral of the story? If you have companion animals, handle your business and get 'em fixed. If you're considering sharing your life and your home with an animal, remember that it's a lot of responsibility, so really think about it before you decide. Whatever you do, don't buy from any pet store or breeder. Millions of dogs and cats are waiting in animal shelters for a family to take them home.
