Bet you didn’t know that of a history of cruelty to animals can be found in the FBI records of most serial rapists and murderers or that people who abuse animals are five times more likely to commit violent crimes against humans than others. Chi Cheng, the bassist for the Deftones, knows. That’s why he wants you to report any and all animal abuse. He’s even recorded a radio public service announcement (PSA) to help spread the word.

What can you do to keep sick creeps from torturing poor, innocent animals—human and nonhuman? Well, the answer is really easy: Just go to the police and tell them about any animal abuse that you see. You may even want to write a short description of the incident, as well as the date and approximate time, to help you remember it clearly.
Now that you know how Chi feels, you want to help him spread the message, right? So get off your ass, march down to your school’s radio station, and get his PSA on the air! You say that your school doesn’t have a radio station? Then try giving a copy to your local radio station.
