We’re happy to announce that our friends in Good Riddance haveteamed up with peta2 once again. Fat Wreck Europe and peta2 will bring Good Riddance and None More Black to a venue near you (unless you are across the pond in the U.S. of course), marking the first time in peta2 history that we’ll be a part of a European club tour. Come find our fully stacked, literature-loaded table at each stop along the way, and you may just find yourself shaking hands and swapping vegan recipes with Good Riddance vocalist Russ Rankin.
It’s really no surprise that we’ll be squatting along the way with these guys. To be honest, we feel a little silly that the light bulb didn’t go off sooner! Even though Good Riddance is one of the most outspoken, pro-animal rights punk bands of yesterday and today and we even sat down with Russ just last year (who, by the way, is the most articulate musician we’ve ever had the pleasure of chatting with), we didn’t think to ask him about something like this! As we blush and try to regain our dignity, check out that interview here.
This tour also marks the continuation of our great relationship with Fat Wreck Chords, which has included an exclusive interview with NOFX vocalist and Fat Wreck head honcho Fat Mike, a contest with Rise Against, and peta2 tables at Anti-Flag shows nationwide. But, we’re pretty sure that the deal was sealed years ago when we first met Fat Mike, who immediately offered to produce the compilation CD now known as Liberation: Songs to Benefit PETA. Pop in the disc, and you’ll hear familiar punk acts from bands such as The Used, Desaparecidos, Propagandhi, and Hot Water Music, all of which agreed to donate tracks in order to raise awareness of animal rights.
The Question Authority Tour featuring Good Riddance and None More Black will be hitting the U.K. on March 26 at the Garage in London. For all tour dates, please visit peta2.de or good-riddance.com.
