With Earth Day right around the corner, everybody is looking for small things that they can do to help reduce their impact on the planet. Some people recycle. Others bike to school. Of course, we all know that the number one thing that people can do to help save the planet is to go vegetarian!
But why not take it one step further by convincing your school to add more vegetarian options to its cafeteria's menu?
Not only will you have better foods to eat every day, you'll also introduce your friends to tasty vegetarian food (many for the first time!). When students can choose foods that are better for both the planet and animals, everyone wins!
To get started, click below to download your "Green Your Cafeteria" campaign pack. Just print it out, make extra copies of the petitions, leaflets, and flyers, and then deliver the signatures that you collect to your cafeteria before Earth Day! Ready?
After you get started, e-mail us at peta2@peta2.com to let us know how it goes! If you get two or more vegetarian items added as regular choices to your school's menu, we'll award you 10,000 Street Team points!
Help the planet, help animals, and score free stuff at the same time? What a great day to be alive.
