Did Your Dinner ... Suffocate?

Check out all the details below and then click "Get Points" to submit a form for points!

FACT: The U.S. fishing industry slaughters more than 6 billion fish each year.

Every single one of these complex, intelligent animals dies an agonizing death. As fish are stolen from the water, they gasp desperately for breath, then feel their chest moving slower and slower:

Without any legal protection from cruel treatment, fish are impaled, crushed, suffocated, or cut open and gutted, all while they’re still conscious.

Fish don’t want to suffocate on land just as we don’t want to drown in water. You can help stop their suffering. Here’s how:

1. Print out your very own fish “ingredient” labels. Don’t have a printer? No worries! Just make your own labels.

2. Cut them out and tape them to any fish products that your family has in the fridge to remind them to relate to who’s on their plate.

3. Snap a pic of your label on the fish product and submit it for 1,000 Street Team points!

Don’t forget to submit your pic!

Once you do, you can use your new Street Team points to get FREE peta2 merch, such as T-shirts, books, and more. Not part of the Street Team yet? Join today!

The closest thing to fish in my freezer is a sea-food medley. It has crab, shrimp, and other dead sea animals but not fish. Is it ok if I use that?

They feel pain just as well as fish and die a needless death,
