Since October 13, a terrified cat named Fritz has been stuck 40 feet up a power pole on First Street N. in Nampa, Idaho. According to sources, local officials have agreed to rescue Fritz but Idaho Power refuses to turn off power to the pole, even for the short amount of time it would take to rescue Fritz!
Today, after urging from PETA, Fritz’s family, and caring neighbors, Idaho Power responded to the scene. According to our callers, however, employees “poked” at Fritz with a pole, which could have knocked him to his death, and only scared the animal into climbing 20 to 40 feet higher.
We need YOUR help to save Fritz!
Please contact Idaho Power at 1-800-488-6151 and urge the company to do the right thing and briefly shut off power to the pole so that Fritz can be safely rescued! Please also send polite comments via Idaho Power’s contact form.
