Lambs are effing adorable. They’re fluffy and spunky, and they love to nuzzle and cuddle with their loved ones. Something they don’t love, however, is having chunks of skin and flesh cut off their booties. 🙁
In the Australian wool industry, lambs are forced to endure a gruesome process called “mulesing,” in which huge chunks of skin and flesh are cut from the animals’ backsides, often without any painkillers.
Once their bodies are worn out and they stop producing as much wool, they’re shipped to overseas slaughterhouses, where their throats are slit while they’re still conscious.
Every time you purchase any clothing or shoes made from wool or sheepskin, you’re telling companies that it’s OK to mutilate and kill sheep.
What’s worse—you’re paying them to do it.
