REALITY CHECK: What's Really in Meat?

What’s meat?

According to the meat industry, it’s this:

Girl eating meat burger

But according to animals, it mostly means this:

REALITY CHECK:

Every time people buy a package of meat, they’re buying something more than just hot dogs or pork chops—they’re buying the fear, pain, and suffering of an animal who didn’t want to die! (Not to mention antibiotics, blood, and sometimes even pus and poop!)

It’s time for everyone to know the TRUTH.

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Print out our peta2 nutrition labels, or make your own!

2. Cut them out and tape them to any gross meat products that your family has in their kitchen.

Well, sounds like you’re pretty lucky! You could try to reach out to people at your school who aren’t vegan and share this with them, maybe?

What if it just drop it onto the meat and not tape it? Would be okay then?

Hey Rachel, we really don’t want you doing anything that might get you in trouble, but definitely put it on the meat in your house. :)

Love how everyone wants to put these on food at the grocery store. So illegal, so tempting…

Nope, sorry! That’d be illegal since you’d be putting them on private property. We’d prefer you to put it on the food that is already in your fridge, so your parents/friends can see it! Plus, we don’t want you getting in any trouble.

Since the food at grocery store is private property, you should only be putting the labels on food already in your fridge. :)

Can I do this at the grocery store but not actually tape it? Just drop/place it on top of packages of meat?
I live in Canada, if that makes a difference as to whether it’s legal or not!

Woah there! We only want you doing this at your house. Grocery store items are private property, and we don’t want anyone getting in trouble doing this. So, just stick to putting this on the items in your parents’ fridge. :)

Seriously? You’re encouraging people to put this on their family’s food? How do you think this will be received? What an irresponsible, ill-thought campaign.

Firstly, it’s not a campaign; it’s a mission. Secondly, chill pill! We’re simply asking people to let their friends and family know the gross truth about meat in a fun and unique way. :) Click here to see the truth for yourself: http://www.meat.org .

Instead of doing all of the “eggs are chickens peroids”, “ingredients of meat” and all other related missions at home, I am going to do these at the grocery store :)
