MISSING: Have You Seen This Baby?

Check out all the details below and then click "Get Points" to submit a form for points!

Do you know the truth about where cow’s milk comes from?

Some folks like to think that it comes from happy cows on friendly farms where mothers and their calves live long, healthy lives, grazing and frocking in the sunshine all day, every day.

But that’s not reality. This is:

cows running after babies gif

On dairy farms, cows don’t get to spend time with their babies after they’re born. They don’t get to love on them, nuzzle them, or raise them as nature intended. Instead, frightened calves are ripped from their mothers’ sides sometimes within a day or two of being born.

Female calves are sentenced to the same fate as their mothers. Males are sent to barren lots to await slaughter or are confined to tiny crates and killed for veal after only a few months of life.

You can STOP this deadly cycle. Show your friends and family that every time they buy cow’s milk, they’re paying someone to kidnap and kill babies on dairy farms.

Step One

Print out your very own “Missing” labels.

Step Two

Cut them out and tape them to your family’s carton of dairy milk in your fridge!

I think it kinda misses the point if it’s not in the fridge, but sure you can put it in your locker. :)

Please ONLY do this with food already in your parent’s kitchen so they can see it. We don’t want anyone getting into any trouble doing this in public. :)

Yep! Check out the Vegg: http://www.thevegg.com/. You can also use tofu, bananas, and applesauce in place of eggs, too (depending on what you’re making)!

Drinking dairy milk promotes farmers to take cows’ babies away from their Mums shortly after they are born, often, if they are male, to be killed, or reared for veal. How many people know this? There are plenty of other alternative milks one can use instead. Try something else, you might like it, i.e. oat, coconut, almond, soya, etc.

I started substituting almond milk for regular milk two years before I even started to give up meat. The product in itself is disgusting.. not to mention what they do to those poor cows. I convinced my dad to try almond milk and after showing him the facts he’s transitioning over to drinking almond milk!

People love milk so much they just don’t want to know the facts because they don’t want to give up their dessert and breakfast drink. But I believe that if they were shown their alternatives- soy milk, rice milk and almond milk- they’d be more willing to hear out the facts knowing that there was a substitute for once they got disgusted by their favorite drink.

Well, that sorta defeats the purpose, but I suppose you could. What would be even better, though, is if you could share this mission with your friends whose families still drink dairy milk!
