Screaming Eggs?

In order for people to eat this …

egg ew gross

… some chickens have to go through this …

… and this …

Egg-Laying Hens Gif

Chickens on factory farms often have part of their beaks seared off with a hot blade and are packed together so tightly inside tiny wire “battery cages” that they are forced to urinate and defecate on one another—just so that someone can have greasy eggs for breakfast (gross!).

SPEAK UP

  • Spread the word about the cruel egg industry by drawing sad or screaming faces on the eggs your family keeps in the fridge. Don’t forget to include a note that says, “Go vegan! peta2.com.”

I would do this if there were a way, but I am in college, and I can’t exactly ask permission to write on the dining hall’s eggs.

I eat eggs, but I own backyard chickens and they are perfectly happy and well cared for! I would do this, but my chickens don’t have to suffer…

good idea but people are ass holes and would probably be pissed about that. even though a sharpie is the least disgusting thing they could worry about being in their food…

Is it okay if I design a sign that will tell my mother to go vegan. Instead of coloring them with marker. I don’t want to get in trouble because she likes eggs.

I don’t even like eggs anymore. For my B-day or New Year’s Resolution. I’m going gluten-free vegan.

I’m sorry peta2 only like egg whites not the ones in the shell. I’m a vegetarian. Plus, the yolk scares me.

I don’t want to be mean to my mom by vandalizing her eggs. Don’t worry my dad doesn’t like eggs either, but he’s an omnivore.

Do you mind if I just make my own place card because I don’t want my mom to get mad about coloring her eggs. I convinced her to be a vegetarian. I’m a vegetarian too. Is that okay with u. Plus, I never eat eggs, I just eat and cook with honey.

Just out of curiosity, what are people’s opinions on eating eggs if you have pet chickens who lay? I have 4 chickens and two of them are laying. I didn’t really think about eggs when I got the chickens(I figured my family would eat them), and now that I have 2 dozen eggs in my fridge and I don’t know what to do with them, do you think it’s okay to eat them? There is no cruelty involved, the chickens are treated like cats(they even sleep in my rooms sometimes) and are very happy animals. The only reason I went vegan was to help prevent cruelty against animals. What are your views on this?
