Even though PETA has repeatedly explained to Stein Mart executives that animals on fur farms live in cramped, filthy conditions before they are bludgeoned, electrocuted, and sometimes even skinned alive, the company refuses to stop selling clothes made with rabbit fur.
In video footage from an undercover exposé of international rabbit farms, workers at a Chinese farm pull rabbits out of cages by their ears and shock the screaming animals in the head with a handheld electrical device, often multiple times.
Rabbits with slit throats can be seen twitching and shaking, with their eyes wide open, before they die.
Please don’t shop at Stein Mart and let the company know that you won’t buy while animals die! Send a polite e-mail to Stein Mart’s CEO and executive vice president at hhawkins@steinmart.com and ask her to dump fur. Let her know that you won’t shop at Stein Mart until all real fur is off the shelves.

I was upset to hear that Stein Mart sells rabbit fur in its shops. The terrified rabbits that are forced to live on fur farms live in cramped filthy conditions before they are killed bludgeoned, electrocuted, some even being skinned alive.
I therefore wish for you to know that I will be telling everybody that I know to stop shopping in stein mart until all real fur is off your shelves. I won’t be buying whilst animals are dying!

I just don’t understand how people can be so cruel. There are plenty of alternatives to fur; indeed, there is absolutely no visible difference between faux fur and real fur. Even if there was, it does not matter; at the end of the day, what is important is saving animals from a brutal and painful death.
