You're Doing It Wrong: Facebook!

Hi. I’m Annie, and … I’m a Facebook addict.

Oh, c’mon! We both know I’m not the only one! Plus, Facebook isn’t just a tool to stalk your ex’s new significant other (guilty!) and post 193,482 pictures of your cats—you can actually help change the world (or at least your friends’ minds) with just one click!

Don’t believe me? Check out these five ways to use Facebook the right way!

This is basically why social-networking sites were created … OK, and to keep in touch with family and friends, blah, blah, blah. But seriously—it’s all about the food. Make your friends jealous and show them how yummy being vegan is by posting pics of your animal-free food! I promise that people will FREAK OUT.

2. Accessorize, accessorize, accessorize.

Facebook is basically a reflection of who you are and what you like (in my case, it’s gifs and Spanish music videos).  Check out our many peta2 Facebook cover photos to show everyone how big your is for animals!

3. Every day is CATURDAY!

Wait, you don’t know about Caturday? It’s basically the BEST DAY EVER. On SatCaturdays, the peta2 Facebook is taken over by super-adorable cats. Be sure to “LIKE” on Facebook to get updates on everything animal rights, see seriously cute animal pics, and be the first one to know about our exclusive contests!

4. Brag about your awesomeness.

Oh, your friend Kristi posted a novel-long status about her feelings on her new hair cut? Cool story, bro—YOU’RE SAVING LIVES! Are you out passing leaflets, organizing protests, or doing other super-cool peta2 missions? Share it with the world!

5. Get the FREE peta2 Facebook app!

Helping animals? There’s an app for that! With our “Action for Animals” Facebook app, every time you take action for Street Team points on our site, “like” a blog, etc., a post will automatically pop up in your activity feed on Facebook—which means that your friends will see you speaking up for animals in real time! The best part? It’s FREE, and you even get 500 Street Team points. GET IT NOW!

How do you use Facebook to speak up for animals? 🙂
