Tis the season for giving, good times with family and friends, time off from work and school, and really good music. Speaking of good music, if you haven’t heard After Midnight Project yet, you’re in for an early Christmas present! With insanely catchy songs (check out “Take Me Home”) and a live show that boasts high energy, live video, and an intense light show, the band quickly gained notoriety and respect throughout the greater Los Angeles area. Word of mouth quickly paid off, and the band started getting regular rotation on the local radio stations, drawing in the attention of major labels and touring with the likes of Chevelle and our friends Rise Against.
We were lucky enough to catch up with the band when they made a tour stop in PETA HQ’s homebase of Norfolk, VA, and the boys shared their thoughts on everything from their animal companions at home to their favorite vegetarian foods.
Check it out…
Great music, a live show that leaves you begging for more, and really sweet dudes—what more can you ask for? Well, I suppose you could ask for the band’s debut CD, Let’s Build Something to Break for Christmas, and that’s why we’re giving you a chance to win it! That’s right … for your chance to win a copy of After Midnight Project’s debut album, Let’s Build Something to Break, leave a comment with what you plan on doing to help animals this holiday season. For example, I plan on donating more time to my local animal shelter. The three people with the most unique answers will be chosen and notified on January 5.

Go to Mc(CRUELTY)Donalds dressed as a cow and have a water gun and shoot people. When they complain I begin educating them about what all the poor helpless animals (my bffs) go through to get in their bellies. Then run away and hopefully get in the news to spread the word. Wait, will this get me in jail? If yeah then uhm I’ll find something else just as awesome D
Honestly, charity and love starts at home.
I have 2 dogs, and 2 cats, that Ive rescued and that I treat like they are my children. Ive volunteered at a shelter, and donated my time, but I believe that doing what I can to make sure 4 animals in the world are healthy, happy, and loved is pretty good too.
This holiday season I am going to volunteer at as many local animal shelters as I can. Do research and find out if there is any businesses that harm animals, and get people to sign a petition to stop it.
For th holidays I’m going to get my dog Sugar Bear spayed so that she doesn’t get pregnant and so people can adopt animals in need instead of creating more dogs that will have a chance of having a bad life and I would like to prevent that as much as I can. I am also going to try and adopt another pet soon, and finaly I am going to order stuff from peta to give away to people so that more people are aware and know that they aren’t by themselves!
I had a completely vegetarian meal for Christmas, actually now that I think about it it was almost 100% vegan. I am going to try my hardest in being vegan, I have been a vegetarian my whole life, but after looking at the “Vegetarian Starter kit” I saw how horrible animals were treated for Dairy products. Also, I am trying to tell all my friends about all the vegetarian options out there, because alot of them don’t think we eat anything but vegetables (which is SO not the case:) Especially during the Christmas season since we don’t eat ham or turkey, but I remind them of the veggie tofurky.
i’d would wear what ever it took to get people to go veggie, its worked in the past, I’ve lost more weight by being Veggie, most people who’d are over weight might think about it, and go veggie and you’d can loose too, with some exercise
Starting the new year, I pledge and promise myself to become a vegetarian. That is my main New Year resolution that I plan to keep for the rest of my life. I am also going through the application process of volunteering at the local animal shelter so I can help save animals. After that, I will be handing out leaflets at all the cruel local McDonalds in our area with some friends. I plan to advocate peta2 more and convince my family and friends to join in on the mission. I will also convince my family and friends to try vegetarian diets for a change. I also want to hand out stickers and leaflets to all of the people in the neighbordhood and I’m going to give them the URL for “Meat Your Meat.”
I write for my local newspaper in a teens journalism program (THE MODESTO BEE) in Modesto, CA. The newspaper has about 400,000+ readers and I just recently wrote an article about the vegetarian teens in the city and the surrounding counties. It hasnt been published but I promise to send the link or URL to the Street Team so they can take a look at it. The article talks about how PETA is making a change in our community with all the statements, videos, and articles available for teens so they can take the pledge to become vegetarians or vegans or just simply help save the animals of the world.
I plan to do a lot this New Year, and I’m pretty sure I can accomplish it. Thanks PETA for making a difference. Happy New Year to all of you!
this year i have convinced my family to go to the new vegetarian restaurant instead of getting food from the ussual places that seem to carry everything with meat, even their salad! I had also got my sister a new eco and animal friendly jacket she said she liked it better then the others she was looking at and went on sites like peta2 to see what other clothes she would like to get.
My plan to help animals more is to hand out leaflets around my town and especially my school. Most kids in my school are unaware of the problems going on with animals and I think they really need to realize what’s going on and get involved.
This season I plan to help animals by, voluntering more often at the local shelter, finding out more effective and different ways to raise money fot animal shelters, AND, I’m helping homeless animals find safe and happy homes.
This season I plan to help animals by, voluntering more often at the local shelter, finding out more effective and different ways to raise money fot animal shelters, AND, I’m helping homeless animals find safe and happy homes.
This Holiday season I’m going to love my dogs, I’m going to take them on long walks and groom them and show them I’m there for them. I bought this new pouch for my chihuahua so i can take her on my back and she loves it.
I’m going to make sure my family of 7 continues to eat vegetarian. Our 2 dogs are vegan, so i guess this is a family of 9.
I’m gonna continue to sign petitions, spread the word, and tell my friends how eating meat is uncool.
This may not seem like much but i know that at least 9 people are making a difference!
My mom and I have been takinf care of 7 cats since March until we can find good homes for them. The humane society is always full, so we are taking good care of them until they have room or they can find a good home. Its a lot of work, but we love animals and will keep taking care of them until they are with another loving family. I also am a vegan and give other people around me the info on veganism so they know more about it. Merry Christmas to you and your family plus pets everyone!:)
I have been handing out leaflets for the Animal Testing breaks heart and doing the petition. I also asked my parents to not by me leather or fur and when i bought presents i made sure they were vegan!
This holiday season I plan on handing out some of several leaflets from peta. I’m also buying only cruelty free iteams for my friends and family, and am having my entire family eat a vegetarian christmas meal.
It’s Christmas, the season of giving. Instead of giving, however, most people are taking. This year I want to change that. Instead of getting Christmas gifts for myself, I am asking for cash that I can give to my local animal shelters and rescue homes. I am also going to spend my Christmas break volunteering at the animal shelter instead of sitting around on my computer.
This holiday season i have already donated about 2 weeks or so of my time to the animal shelter, and raised a couple of hundred dollars to them. I am planing on promoting vegitarianism and showing everyone what animals have to go through just for your satisfaction.
This holiday season I plan on hosting a few kittens from my local animal shelter so they can have a warm and loving family to be with during the holdays. I also plan on mkaing my meateating family members as uncomfortable as possible during christmas dinner
I’ve asked that for christmas i want the money they would spend on me to be donated to the animal shelter, specifically the corona animal shelter where i adopted my 3 dogs. lilly (shepherd x husky), hogan (shepherd x saint bernard) and princess (chihuahua).
My plan is continuous and a lifestyle. We donate, help animals and birds when we can and we will be buying Christmas items from our local animal shelter this Christmas.
I’m going to volunteer at the Capital Area Humane Society everyday this week and help any animals that I might see over the holidays. Bring them in from the cold, and hand them over to my animal shelter
Well i plan to do alot. To help animals i printed out those be fur-free this winter season [i am going to print more] and then i will stick a candy-cane to it, then i’ll put all of them in every mailbox on my street. So that it gets people aware. I also got this booklet on Animal Testing with 20 of the same pages in it. I will take those out of the book and put them in an envelope and put those in the mailboxes of the street oposite of the street i am putting the candy cane things in. I disagree with Animal testing and not only to constantly tell my friend why it’s wrong, but i post alot of stuff on my Facebook, Myspace, And Soon my Youtube channel.
Well I just started my new vegetarian diet. I hope that soon with much conditioning I will become vegan XD I am going to hand out pamphlets at my friends work (KFC and Mc’D)and am currently working on banning the dissection of animals at our school! Also I am trying to convert my parents into the healthy wholesome life of a vegetarian! Our family is diabetes prone and I hope this will help them become healthier and more confidently fit. And I am going to table at our schools annual Sadie Hawkins Dance! Many compassionate females will be there with their dates who would do anything for their ladies!
I am planning to cook the best vegetarian Christmas dinner and convince my family to having a cruelty-free Christmas.
I’ve also recently made the decision to go vegan so there will be a huge option of a variety of meat-free and dairy-free food. That would be the best gift my family could give to me
I’ll be volunteering, as usual, with my local pet rescue centre (a pet is for life people!) and helping humans, as we’re all equally important!
Plus, every gift I give is going to be branded with my Peta2 stencils…I’m gonna have a lot of fun this Christmas
well, i’m going to start by going to the mall every weekend, and take time out of my shopping to pass out candy with peta’s ‘be sweet to animals’ tag on it. then i know i’m buying the food for or christmas dinner so it will be 100% vegan. also i’m getting my dog neutered for christmas. (:
This holiday season, I’m hosting a vegan food drive at my school. ^.^ It’s in Fairbanks, Alaska…In case anyone is interested in donating some goods.
And I’m also going to hand out candy canes with peta’s “Be Sweet To Animals” ties on them, at the local mall. Apparently there’s this new store open, that sells mainly fur. (I personally haven’t been inside…but i will. Oh I will. >=] )
I’m going to give them to shoppers outside the store (so we can’t get kicked out) with my friends. And we might have some flyers to hand out too. Either way, we’re going to cause some mischeif, save some animals, and generate some good ole’ bad business for the bad guys.

I plan on handing out leaflets and stickers and talking about vegetarianism while volunteering for the Salvation Army. Sitting with those kettles for donations means I get to see a lot of people. Might as well give something back =)
Father loves to farm, be self sustainable, loves to read, he's a antiques/vintage auctioneer, art student, and looks like mr. Rogers. My mother is a Montessori teacher and is amazing with children, all about local organic foods, loves gardening, cooking etc. my sister who is nine years older than me was into indie music and introduced me to all sorts of things at a young age. This all rubbed of on me and from that base I grew into similar things. I'm an INFJ
Well let's just say life ain't always beautiful but it's a beautiful ride. I love all my pets and would do anything for them. I have one dog, two cats, a ferret and my babygirl shaymin,(the cutest hedgehog alive) I'm into all different kinds of music. I'm a singer myself and love art.
I want to get into marketing but not have to rely on people which have different morals and worldviews than I do to hire me. While I'm figuring this out, I want to show everyone what I believe in and spur them into action against injustices.
I am Angela. When I am not helping animals I am listening to music, reading, or playing video games. My spirit animal is a fox and I love nature. What else is there to know? Want to know anything about me, need advice or anything message me :)
