A longtime advocate for animals and the star of legendary comedies like Clueless, Alicia Silverstone knows a thing or two about vegan food. In fact, as the author of the bestselling advice book The Kind Diet, she is a leading expert on healthy and cruelty-free eating.
Now, the film star is bringing her message of compassion to the historic campus of the University of California–Los Angeles (UCLA), where she will be speaking at a peta2-sponsored event next Monday night—right before students leave for Thanksgiving break! If you live within driving distance of Southern California, don’t miss out on this one. The event is free to attend and even includes vegan Thanksgiving food samples for attendees (generously donated by local vegan restaurant chain Native Foods Café)!
