Last week I told you guys about the sweet tours we’re out on this month, and I mentioned that you should keep your eyes peeled for an Anti-Flag contest you won’t want to miss. You probably thought I was lying, but the time has come!
Here’s an update from Chris #2 about the first few stops of “The Economy Sucks, Let’s Party” tour:
Detroit MI; Day 1
Doors are not even open yet. The fine young activists at Detroit peta2 set their wheels in motion perhaps even faster than we set the stage up. Old faces, new friends. This month of shows will be great.

Omaha NE; Day 4
We are off and rolling. 3 great shows. Even if there was a “let’s go redwings” chant at the Detroit show, it was a great way to kick off the tour. Chicago was amazing and so was last night in St. Paul.
The peta2 volunteers have been incredible; working well before doors to the last chord, to the last person leaving the club.
This work ethic is so important to our scene. For me, punk rock shows were the first place I looked for real information. Whether or not you take the literature is up to you, but we are more than happy to provide the forum for the dissemination of positive ideas.
Tonight—my 1st show ever in Omaha. It is crazy to me, being in a touring band for 10 years and there are still so many places we have never been.

my favorite show that i saw peta2 at was on november 7th 2008. it was my first time i saw Rise Against. it was an awsome show. the people at the tent were hella cool. i got a button from them that say’s meat is not green. for 2 weeks after the show i went without eating anything from animals. i was hella nervous about trying to tell my dad i wanted to be a vegan, but then i saw videos of Tim Mcilrath on youtube talking at the Denver veg fest about the hardest part about becoming a vegan or vegetarian was telling your parents and that gave me the courage to tell my parents i want to be a vegan. the ended up being cool with it. The sad thing is, I haven’t seen PETA or PETA2 at any shows around here! I’m in Maine, the state that loves to talk about how green and environmentally friendly it is but thrives on the lobster industry and hunting and fishing! And have you seen the amount of trucks here? I love PETA, I love Anti-Flag and Rise Against, throw me a frickin’ cruelty-free bone here and console me about the lack of awesome concerts around here.

My favorite concert that peta2 was at as warped tour of 05′ It was the first time i went up to the tent, as a meat eater. The peta2 workers talked to be breifly about factory farming, and gave me a dvd to look at when i got home, because of this interaction i have been a vegetarian ever sense.

My favorite show has to of been Warped Tour 2009. I got a little pamphlet and this dude told me to sign my email address on a piece of paper. I read the book about a week after Warped Tour, and it made me become a vegetarian, like I thought to myself how cruel it was when I saw the pictures and read the words of the book.Warped Tour ’09 was a great experience for me and it really made a change in how I eat and do things

I saw peta2 at the Area 4 festival in august in Lüdinghausen, Germany. It was amazing with Rise Against who mentioned peta2 aswell but focused on the war. Since then I have become a vegetarien and am planning to become a vegan, reading up on it and getting recepies.

i went with my best friend and we watched meet your meat and we were like “lets go vegetarian” like, off the bat. it was awesome.
i love anti-flag not only for their music but because they changed my life [by association, haha]

Warped Tour every year at the Gorge. I always stop by and check out the peta2 tent and other veggie/vegan tents. I couldn’t afford tickets to see Anti-Flag though…bum deal =[

did see Anti-Flag at the pukkelpop festival this year(2009) and rise against at groezrock 2009!

It’s gotta be 2008′s Give It A Name in the UK!
I was there for both days and so were Peta2
As well as the amazing Anti-Flag playing there, we had Armor For Sleep, Finch, Paramore and othersss.

Loved your Detroit show. I was in the front row and got the privilage to shake #2′s hand while he was on stage. The peta table opened my eyes more to what is going on. I am now a frequent peta2.com veiwer and a vegan. I also have gotten my friend to convert to vegetarianism

The only concert I’ve ever been to was the Rise Against concert in Richmond. It was amazing and because of the people that I talked to before the concert, I am now a vegetarian and I hope to be a full fledge vegan at some point.

I’m seeing Anti-Flag tonight in Portland, and I’m sure it’ll be the best show I’ve seen peta2 at. Besides tonight, my favorite time seeing them was at Warped Tour 08 when one of my buddies gave up meat because of the effect peta2 had on him that day.
