Victory: HUGE News For the Largest U.S. University
Following months of pressure and more than 2,000 petition signatures gathered by a peta2 Campus Rep, Arizona State University (ASU) has committed to opening vegan stations in every dining hall on campus!
The school, which previously earned a C on peta2’s Vegan Report Card, is now flying high with an A, based on the latest improvements. The first vegan station, called Daily Root, is now open in the school’s student union, and it’s now serving up delicious vegan options, including Thai curry “chicken” linguine, “beef” enchiladas, breakfast scrambles, blackened tofu with paella, and jalapeño “chicken” paninis.
ASU is just the latest school to jump on the vegan bandwagon, and several schools in recent years have even opened all-vegan dining facilities as a result of student pressure.
