About me: Music and food are what keep me going, I could talk music and food all day! I also love reading books on food- whether they are about cooking, adventures, or politics- it’s my favorite extra-curricular subject to nerd out on. I’ll talk food issues (or music) with you anytime!

I like: TV (LOST, Weeds, Dexter, GLEE, The Wire), watching the same movies over and over (Old School, High Fidelity, Almost Famous, Mean Girls, Wet Hot American Summer), thinking about what’s for lunch, vinyl records, punk rock, learning, debating, snowboarding, Saturn Café in Santa Cruz, CA, and koalas.

I hate:  People who do not use their turn signals while driving, and Monsanto.

Why you went veg: As a political action against factory farming and everything the evil Big Food corporation stands for. They’re not producing proper food; they’re producing a cruel and inhumane machine that is making our country sick.

Any companion animals? An adorable rescue mutt named Sophie.

Is it true you are kind of a tomboy? That is very true! I played competitive soccer for six years, played a lot of softball while growing up, love snowboarding (though I never get to go!), and I spent about two years as a student athletic trainer.

What is your favorite blog/website? AVClub.com! If you’re a fan of sarcastic and irreverent writing, and like to keep up on the latest music/TV/film/pop culture news, this is the best site ever. Seriously, I am a HUGE fan.
