Road Warrior: Concert Tour Crew Member
Hometown: I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and lived in Austin, Texas, for three years. Now I call Boulder, Colorado, my home.
Favorite Bands/Music: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Third Eye Blind, Foo Fighters, the Lumineers, The Shins, The Killers, Explosions in the Sky, Gorillaz, Of Monsters and Men, Spoon, Rise Against, and the list goes on! I also play a lot of Bruno Mars during my driving shift when we're on tour.
About Me: I live with my brother and my lovable cat, Ollie. When I'm home, I like to go on hikes and enjoy the beautiful outdoors! I tend to be working all the time—I've never had a job that I didn't love. If I'm not working, you can catch me on the couch having a movie marathon or making playlists and listening to my record collection. I LOVE the cold weather, something you don't hear very often! My tour mates secretly try to suffocate me by turning the heat on full blast.
I Like: Cats, cupcakes, traveling, snow, snowboarding, hiking, coffee, chocolate, and books.
I Dislike: The noise of cracking knuckles, gives me the shivers! And when people lie for whatever reason. To me, no lie is better than the truth.
Why You Went Vegan: I took culinary arts classes in high school and not only learned about the meat industry but also learned about the way the food was cooked. Eager to learn more, I read nutrition books and articles on the peta2 website. This led me to go vegan six years ago—the best decision of my life!
Companion Animal: My best friend, Ollie the cat. My brother takes care of him while I'm out on the road. It always breaks my heart leaving him!
One Thing on My Bucket List: I hope to one day be able to attend a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert. Every time I plan on going, something always stops me.
Favorite Things About Touring: Being in a different city every night and having people from all over the States tell me their stories on going vegan and/or wanting more information. There's also no better feeling than the one you get when people thank you for being out on the road talking to people. When on the road, you're able to see how much of an impact you're making after visiting the same city multiple times. And hey, you can't forget all the delicious vegan food that you're able to eat everywhere!
