Fave bands: I go through phases with what I listen to--everything from hip-hop to Christmas music to musical soundtracks (and pretty much everything in between). However, I can never go wrong with Ben Folds, and I'll still never hesitate to fall back on Jagged Little Pill on a bad day
About me: I love to cook, and I think there's nothing better than spending time cooking with family and friends and getting to eat a delicious meal that you've prepared together. If I'm home, I'm in my pajama pants. I have to sleep with a glass of water next to my bed. I'm addicted to vegan cookbooks and have always wanted to write one, so working on PETA's Vegan College Cookbook was an amazing experience! You can often find me watching one of my favorite shows: Buffy, Scrubs, Arrested Development, and Glee. My family and friends mean the world to me, and my nieces and nephew own my <3
I like: Pajama pants, Scrubs, homemade hummus, Heathers, board games, cooking, big rings, a fresh-baked cookie, purple, grocery shopping, homemade presents, karaoke, California, John Steinbeck, Christmas, and being around people who make me laugh
I hate: Coconut, fruit in desserts, inconsiderate people, foot cramps, and when people call me Martha
Why you went veg: I was at a luau in Hawaii with my family when I was 4 and saw people roast a pig over the fire. I made the connection and decided I didn't want to eat animals! I went vegan when I was 20 after I read PETA's "Vegetarian Starter Kit."
Which do you think came first, and why: the vegan chicken or the egg replacer? Hmm. This is a toughie. You don't need the soy chicken to have the egg replacer, and you don't need the egg replacer to have the vegan chicken. I'm going with vegan chicken because it's delish!
What’s your favorite thing to eat at 2 in the morning? I have been known to wake up at 2 a.m., eat half a bean burrito in my bed, fall back asleep, and eat the other half in the morning.
What is your favorite thing to think and talk about? (Don’t lie—we all know the answer is vegan food!) It's true! Almost all my status updates on Facebook are about what I'm eating, it's almost a problem (but a delicious one).
