Badgley Mischka: Fur Scum
When design duo Mark Badgley and James Mischka, both fond of using fur, presented their new furry clothing line at the “Badgley Mischka Exclusive Premier” at Bergdorf Goodman department store, they got some fur-ocious feedback from unexpected attendees.
Just as cocktails were being served, PETA members reminded the designers and their customers that “there is no excuse for fur” by throwing “bloodied” mink stoles, with heads and legs still attached, at the feet of both Badgley and Mischka. Minutes later, after those protesters were escorted out of the store and cocktails had resumed, another PETA posse walked up beside the designers and surprised them with giant, graphic posters of skinned foxes alongside the caption, “Fur: No Skin Off YOUR Back.”
