Ask and ye shall receive, Mark!
Since Mark made the compassionate choice to use a plastic prop rather than a real octopus for his photo shoot, peta2 is giving him a ‘Compassionate Citizen’ Award. He’ll also receive a framed certificate and a card signed by peta2 staffers.
Octopi are intelligent and sensitive animals who have been observed communicating with each other. They’re able to grasp objects with their tentacles just like we can with our hands, and some have even been taught to unscrew jar lids in order to retrieve food inside.
Here’s to Mark for showing that “all the small things” deserve compassion and respect!
Well, I love Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, CSI, Criminal Minds, Doctor Who and comic books (I mean, my profile pic IS Damian Wayne and Bat-Cow...). I'm kind of spazzy and I tend to ramble... I'm also an obsessive perfectionist...heh heh...a science/tech nerd and a vegetarian.
I grew up in the United States. My mom is white. My father is Latino. I love to save animals, even spiders. So don't kill my spiders..I love dogs, pigs, all creatures that the world has made for you and me-to protect and love/and NOT to kill. I believe in love & adventure. I believe in you have to live life to learn,LOVE life LOVE life..
