We recently asked you to send us photos of your rescued animals, and we’ve been flooded with cuteness! While we wish we could have included all the pics here, we’d like to share a handful of the adorable photos and stories that we received.

Think your animal is the cutest? Submit a pic, and he or she could be featured in the next roundup!

Rescued calico cat submitted photo

Hanna (Bidwell, Ohio) found Sage outside seeking shelter in a tree just before winter. Now she can view the outdoors through the window without being cold.

Rescued rat submitted photo

Stephanie (Fowlerville, Michigan) saved Rhine from becoming a feeder rat and shares her home with the little cutie now.

Rescued pit bull Bruce submitted photo

Joan (Glendale, California) adopted Bruce from a Los Angeles animal shelter, and while they don’t know much about his past, his future is bright and filled with love.

Rescued white cat submitted photo

Ruby (Bognor Regis, U.K.) found Bubba abandoned in a box in a bush, but now he has a lovely home and a family who cherishes him.

Rescued dog and cat submitted photo

Ashley (Bonaire, Georgia) adopted canine Sheldon and his feline pal, Penny, from the Kentucky Humane Society, and they’re snuggly BFFs!

Rescued cattle dog submitted photo

Radhika (Saratoga, California) adopted playful puppy Kona. The sweet pup loves to play fetch and run around.

Kathleen (Clarendon Hills, Illinois) rescued Molly, a lab/border collie mix, and they’re now best friends. Molly is so loving, affectionate, and adorable that she is also a therapy dog!

Did you know that every year, 6 to 8 million dogs and cats end up in animal shelters and that roughly half must be euthanized for lack of a good home? Remember to spay and neuter and ALWAYS adopt, never buy, to help end the animal overpopulation crisis. Let’s do our part to give all animals their second chance at a happy ending 🙂

Share your rescued animal’s photo and story with us!

Psst … are you on Instagram? Check out and use the #peta2rescue hashtag, and maybe we’ll post your picture!

My cat wasn’t rescued but she was brought before I was born so yeah. My mum and dad now know about this now and if we ever get another cat it will be rescued.

These are the heroes that should be featured on cereal boxes, not athletes.
In fact, yeah, PETA should market its own cereal, featuring supercute rescued animal photos and stories on the boxes so everyone, especially little kids, could learn how easy and amazing it is to adopt. A yumful healthy vegan cereal, maybe in the shape of paw prints. And a cinnamon version, just cuz I think I’d like PETA CinnaPaws. 🙂
