Guillotines, hot irons, bone saws, sharp wires, electric dehorners … what do all these things have in common? They are all used in the production of milk products!
Confused? Dairy farms use the above tools to dehorn cattle, a painful procedure in which calves and cattle have their horns and horn buds cut off. That’s right—cows have their horns literally BURNED or CHOPPED OFF. These barbaric procedures are excruciatingly painful.
Don’t believe me? Want to see for yourself? OK, but be warned that the following images are graphic and difficult to look at.
These photos show exactly how painful and disturbing the process of dehorning is. If a human had that kind of gaping, bloody wound, he or she would be rushed to the hospital. However, these cattle are just left to suffer without any painkillers or veterinary care whatsoever.
The number one thing you can do to help save cows from this horrific procedure is to stop buying dairy products. Show the dairy industry that you do not support the cruel process of dehorning. Pledge to go vegan today!

i have been a vegatarian for bout a year, but on and off. Im mexican so it is very hard t get away from meat. i have been trying very hard. but i almost find it impossiblefor me to be vegan…i LOVE milk, and i hate to say ot…but is there such thing as faux milk?

It is just shocking! How can animals be treated in such a cruel way? And on top of that, they are burned with hot iron in the face where it is extremely painful. This must be stopped!

HORRIBLE! I’m vegan. Everyone should be vegan! Furthermore milk and all dairy products are very harmful to health. There are many human cancers associated with these products, many mental illnesses and allergies too!

This is a common practice in ALL dairies of the US. Including organic dairies. No need to publish names. If you buy milk, this is what you buy from.

omg! this is horrible and sad! =’( don’t they suffer enough! If we stopped supporting the cruel food industry or what ever what you consider this.The profit for things like this is extreamly high so why do you think the food industry is still making these cruel decisions? well thats why!if we were to stop buying these unneeded food products there money profit would go down and instantly they would be forced to lose there factories cuase of the lost of money! this need’s to stop so you need to stop careing silently and start making a diffrence in these helpless and not to mention defenceless animals lives. stop animal cruelity help the cause!
