As you may have heard, world-famous Olympian Michael Phelps was recently busted using marijuana for what could only be described as a non-medical purpose (he was partying at the University of South Carolina).
Reading from the standard celebrity script, Phelps acknowledged “regrettable behavior” and said that he “demonstrated bad judgment”, as if he tripped and fell onto a bong or something. He has, however, previously denied using any performance-enhancing drugs (though anyone with a stoner friend knows that “performance-enhancing” probably doesn’t apply in this situation).
Of course, we’re peta2, not the DEA, so what we’re more concerned about is what kind of “munchies” this superstar athlete is chowing down on after his “regrettable” behavior. That’s why we thought it’d be a good idea to place this tongue-in-cheek billboard around the USC campus, you know, as a public service announcement to all of the little Phelpses (Phelpsi?) out there…

I have always lived in Los Angeles but my family and I went to Mexico for my parents wedding. So we came back to LA. I have always liked animals and it was til I was like about 14 when I learned about tests they do on animals and I began to explore animal cruelty because I was interested it in it. I have watched videos that just broke my heart so that's why today I'm doing all I can to not buy anything that has harmed an animal and I'm vegetarian .
I'm tall, I love sewing, fashion and the environment, also I'm vegetarian (wannabe vegan.) Obviously, I love animals! :)

Come on! Everyone makes mistakes and who can blame him for going a little overboard when he spent like 10 years of his life preparing for two seprate olympics that he won 8 medals at, each, 14 gold and 2 bronze total. The man knew nothing but structure, he got a little crazy and now he said sorry. Don’t turn something as irrelevant as smoking pot into a vegetarian ad campaign. Don’t get me wrong I have been a vegetarian for 5 years and would LOVE if Phelps chose to do the same. And I do not in any way endorse the use of marijuana, but really guys. Leave the man alone. It’s hard enough to live under the spotlight and he’s being criticized by everyone else possible, the last thing he needs is a PETA ad campaign against him.
