Even though my name is “Sunny,” I can’t be radiant and energized all the time. I occasionally get the grumps or the lazies and require a li’l boost from time to time just like everybody else. While I often reach for the sugary sweets (aka my crack) to get energized, this is not ideal for my overall health or my dress size (you see, I’m tryin’ to keep my lady lumps in check). What’s a a gal to do? Answer: Rock some mood-boostin’ aromatherapy mists. Holla!

These mood mists are actually quite simple to make at home, and you can spray them in the air, all over your body, on your linens, pretty much anywhere!

The best part is that they are 100 percent cruelty-free. No animals will be harmed in the making or the spritzing of these aromatherapy mists!

Here are two simple essential formulas that will help put you in a super fab mood. :)

The Pick-Me-Up

  • 1 drop eucalyptus
  • 2 drops geranium
  • 3 drops peppermint

The Calm-Me-Down

  • 1 drop frankincense
  • 2 drops bergamot
  • 3 drops lavender

To Make the Mists:

  1. Pour 4 ounces of pure distilled water into a clean, dry, mini–spray bottle.
  2. With an eye-dropper, add your selected blend of essential oils to the bottle.
  3. Close tightly and shake hard to combine. Be sure to shake before each use because the water and essential oils tend to separate.

Enjoy!

What do you do to balance your mood naturally?

Instead of buying air freshners I buy some scented oils and put in water and a spray bottle and use to refresh furniture, clothes and the air.

Lavendar alone is the king/queen of calming. It helps me get to sleep plus it helps calm my stressed out/grieving rabbit (we just lost her best friend).
