Donate Your Unwanted Points to PETA
Have extra Street Team points that you’re not using? Feeling generous? You can now donate the points you earned back to PETA, and we’ll use the money that would have been spent on your Street Team Goods on our many campaigns to help animals. If you’re interested, log-in to your account, go to the “Street Team Goods” page, and click on the amount you’d like to donate.
Did you know that October is National “Cut Out Dissection” Month? For the fourth year in a row, students everywhere will be setting aside time in October to speak up for the millions of animals killed every year for the dissection industry. If you haven’t already done so, take a look at the peta2 Street Team mission titled, quite simply, “Cut Class, Not Frogs” to see what you can do to fight cruelty in the classroom.
For the rest of October, peta2 Street Teamers will receive double the points for all the actions found on this list. Two times the points means that you’ll earn an “I Am Not a Nugget” T-shirt, messenger bag, or any of the other gear found on the Street Team Goods twice as fast.
No matter what your teachers might tell you, you never have to dissect, and you always have the right to voice your strongly held belief that animals are not ours to use as a science project. So whether you’re in the mood to do something simple for animals – like getting your classmates to sign our anti-dissection petition or sending a link to “Classroom Cut-Ups” to all your friends – or you feel like shooting for the gold by working to implement a student-choice policy at your school, do it by the end of the month and send us a report with all the details.
On Halloween night, peta2 wants you to don the most ghoulish costume of all – psycho Colonel Sanders! We’ll supply you with a mask, as well as a bunch of Kentucky Fried Cruelty leaflets and stickers. Order your mask now so you’ll have it in time for Halloween.
Raise your hand if you’re excited.
