Sweater weather is upon us, and I for one, am especially excited to shop for new cozy, cute, and compassionate clothes (the kind that don’t contain any animal products such as leather, wool, silk, or fur).

I agree with the idea that wearing faux supports the trend of real fur. I feel like people would probably just see me wearing faux and think I only didn’t have real fur because I couldn’t afford it or something, so they’d want to have “something better”…I saw a woman in target a few days ago with a fur purse, obviously real, and I felt rude but I couldn’t stop staring at her and I couldn’t think of a nice way to approach her before it was too late. :c Also, all of the above photos look like fashion disaster to me, haha. Faux fur is generally very ugly. Some faux leather and faux wool doesn’t look bad; I did like the bomber jacket post. Wunderkind has some crazy faux options I like, but I’ve never had any since I’ve been vegan so Idk how I feel about it really.

I hate fur, faux or genuine. Or leather. I think they look truely disgusting on people. The fur and leather industry cant be doing that well, i dont understand why they keep making them.

I still don’t believe in wearing faux fur because it is like supporting the real thing, which is a big no-no. I know there is no relations between real fur and faux fur but it is an imitation of the real thing and I would not buy real or faux fur!

I love the idea of faux fur. It sports the trend just as “real” fur would do so, and the fact that Chanel is promoting that in it’s recent winter line was really admirable for me. I hope other brands begin to follow and start to see that fashion doesn’t need to be the price of skinned rabbits or tortured lambs.

All i have to say, i think fur is ugly on people, real or fake. Leave it for the animals. I think they are truly the only ones that can pull it off.

I am in great support of faux instead of real fur but it is important to make it known that you are wearing faux. I never want people to think I’m wearing real fur if I have faux on. So always make sure you wear a pin or something that makes it known that you are wearing faux and not real fur.

I do not think that wearing FAKE fur is wrong. There is nothing wrong with imitating something beautiful in nature and fur is very beautiful. HOWEVER real fur is only beautiful on those who were intended by nature to wear it. It is the same as wearing leopard print clothing: you didnt kill a leopard or endorsed the killing of a leopard.

I like the furry Express vest on the bottom right corner, its very chic. Must. Have. It. JK! I love how they are using fake fur but I still think it would promote fur if you wear it in public because people will think its real.. :O! So if anyone compliment or says something about the faux fur im wearing I make sure to tell them clearly that its fake.

Just make sure it actually is faux if you buy it. It shouldn’t feel exactly like fur. Not quite as soft. I certainly don’t trust some of those companies.
