Use a darker bronzer to create shadow and minimize parts of your face you want to draw attention away from or put in shadow (like under cheek bones or to make a large forehead look smaller)

Use a darker powder or bronzer to contour things you want to diminish and a lighter color base to highlight things you want to call more attention to

Well, i think the Johnny Concert Glamour’s “Glampire Goddess” makeup thing is a little bit spooky. But it will turn amazing if you were looking for a unique and “Gothic” style. Love the touch though.

    Thanks for sharing.

use elf, its cheap and works great! also you can take an eyeliner brush and dip it in eye shadow and use it as eyeliner and it looks darker and lasts longer. also take some white eyeshadow and put it in the corners of your eyes and under the eyebrow. lights up your face a bit. πŸ™‚

    Always Cruelty Free makeup.

tip one ; when applying mascara move the brush side to side a little so there is no clumps and it spreads evenly

tip two ; when applying foundation make sure you apply even tones all over your face and rub in liquid foundation well

tip three ; when using powdered foundation gently rub some off your face so it doesnt look so powdery

tip four ; when applying eyeliner do inner eye at bottom and top and a little at the ends on the eyelid.

tip five ; when applying eyeshadow make sure you start in the little area by where your eye meets in the front and then go back with the brush

tip six ; if youre trying to get that “nude” lip look i recomend putting some chapstick over it lightly or lip gloss. keeps it moist

I rarely wear makeup because I am worried about testing on animals. But when I wear make-up, that I am sure is not tested on animals and is not made with animal by products, I like to put on an extravagant color of lipstick. This is always a fun way to show of a personality.

Tip 1. Use not tested on animals
Tip 2. When get lashes not clumping together, use a smaller brush, not a larger brush
Tip 3. eye liner on top make you appear more awake
Tip 4. when using eyeshdow for eyes, use the fleck in yours eyes as a guide. purples bring out green, green brings out brown etc.
tip 4. put a bit of glitter on mascara brush to put on lashes and it will look fab.

I have been using Almay for a few years now. I tell people to use it because its also hypo-allergenic so its much nicer on the skin.
My best tip: using less makeup! I only use liquid eyeliner, foundation and pressed powder. sometimes i will use mascara but not often. I always recommend using less makeup in order to stay as natural as possible. It saves money, and keeps you from looking like a makeup-hag.
I have had people accuse me of not truly being vegan because i wear makeup, so I surprised them when I informed them I use crueltyfree products.

Everytime I go shopping, no matter what for, I check the labels, and always do research online before I buy, to check if the product is really cruelty free, I would hate to buy something thats not, mainly bc thats basically the same thing as suporting cruetly to animals, which in my mind is the worst thing ever. back before I went vegan and made the switch, I checked all my products, makeup and all, to see if they were cruetly free, and I come to find almost all wasnt, I was horrified and trashed them imediatlly. then I went shopping for creuetly free makeup and things and you know what?? I come to find that the cruelty free makeup and stuff was FAR better than the other stuff I use to use. I love love LOVE E.L.F and Hard Candy The Best, They have the best cruelty free makeup I have came across so far. But I still am willing and want to try more out, like the free stuff given away this friday. It seems to be really good stuff. So I would love to try it out.

My mom raised bunnies when she was little, whenever I use animal tested products (rarely) I think of her bunnies. Always check, it’s not that hard. πŸ™‚

I go back to the very basics. When I know exactly what is in my make-up, because I make it myself. I go to herbalist, flower markets, and organic vegetable markets. If you have the recipes (which I do) and the correct ingrediants (which I do) its not very difficult to make your own. It might take a bit of practice and some trial and error, but I must say, some of the things I have created are even better than what I can buy at a high class department store. And boy, let me tell you, it’s a whole lot cheaper. So if anyone else out there want to try there hand at creating their own make-up, the internet is a world of information!
    Good Luck to You1

No animal testing for beauty’s sake. Buying animal tested products makes you supremely UGLY. Take CARE to READ labels. ALWAYS make sure ‘not tested on animals’ is on anything you purchase. if it’s not written on product or its box, you can be pretty certain animals were harmed.

I follow the 2 R’s when it comes to any make-up purchase, actually for any purchase. READ the label/ingredients carefully as many products that are not vegan can be classed as vegan friendly/animal friendly as long as the finished product was not tested on animals. RESEARCH your products before you buy them if you are not 100% sure. Some nasty stuff can slide through when given fancy names like gelatin or free range or organic. No deal is worth buying knowing an animal suffered or died for it!

I always have the cruelty free list on my phone, so if I see a new brand I always have it to check, then I just get the ones that don’t test on animals. Also in Canada (I don’t know about other places) a lot of product will have a small animal on it somewhere to let you know they don’t test on animals πŸ™‚ hope its helps!

Using cruelty-free make up of course; Tip #1.)Just before applying lip color, always take a wet washcloth and rub lips to rid of any dry skin and ready them for a smooth look!
Tip #2)Apply mascara by lifting upper lid getting to the very bottom of lash and move inward toward your nose for very full and sexy lashes!

Hmm, cruelty free make-up tip? Seems like everybody is commenting the same thing but it is the best tip! Always check the labels and make sure what you are buying IS in fact cruelty free, some companies may try to hide the fact that they are testing on animals and that’s why it’s soooo important to check! If they don’t say they’re cruelty free, chances are they aren’t!

I love The Body Shop for eyeshadows, blushes, liners, and anything powdered, but their mascara and lipsticks aren’t very good, and the moisturizers contain beeswax. They don’t test on animals, the brushes are synthetic, but still really nice quality, and a ton of their products are vegan. And they have a huge book with all the ingredients, so you can always ask a staff member to check for you. My favorite mascara is definitely made by Lavera. It isn’t too smelly, it’s made from natural ingredients, it’s vegan, not tested on animals, and works great. Then for lipsticks, I like Aveda, but haven’t bought one in a while, and suspect they may contain beeswax.

My makeup tip is: Invest. It may sound like an excuse to spend too much money, but good quality cosmetics often last as long as a year, even if used every day. If you choose something cheap, the quality will be lower, the product won’t work as well, and then you’re stuck with it until it’s used up. A natural product is not only better for the environment, it’s better for you. Putting plastic and chemicals on your face each day is not a good idea. Natural cosmetics are hardly ever tested on animals, either, because the ingredients are not dangerous.

But, don’t use too much make up! The more you show your natural beauty, the more confident you appear. Confidence is sexy!

To make your eyes appear bigger, do not connect the outer ends of your eyelids with eyeliner. Subtly sway away near the end of each lid.

If you want them to appear otherwise, then connect the lines.

The most simple and definitly cruelty free tip for everyone who was out wayy too long last night and has to go to work / school next day. And your eyes have dark circles beneath them? Before you put on some cruelty free make up, make a cup of black tea, then take the teabag and put it in the fridge until it’s cold (while you can do your other morning stuff) – then put the teabags on your eyes and let them work for a few minutes. It does wonders!! You’ll look super fresh after not even needing any cruelty free make up anymore πŸ™‚

I usually use e.l.f now Because its super cheap , cruelty free and available in my area πŸ™‚ My tip would be … hmm Well I got complimented on something I do today with my liquid eyeliner…. the kind thats shaped like a witches hat wit the tall skinny twisty lid. I use it to draw art anywhere on my body. typically my hands, wrists or arms. Also designs on my face or shoulders for a added sweet look πŸ™‚ The black liquid liner makes them look like real tattoos and they last all day and sometimes longer until you wash it off with soap πŸ˜‰

My cruelty free makeup tip is to always mention (to any cashier, employee, fellow customer that you come in contact with at the store while buying your vegan/cruelty-free makeup) that you are purchasing this specific brand because it is vegan and cruelty-free. That way it lets the store know what their customers are interested in (thus possibly resulting in that store acquiring more vegan/cruelty-free makeup to please their customers and make more sales), and it lets other people that see you buying your makeup think about their own morals/ethics when it comes to buying makeup that was tested on animals (I have been able to convert many people this way, simply by helping them become more aware of the fact that they can make a difference just by looking at the labels more often and choosing their products more carefully and with more consideration to the effect that it will have on helpless animals).

To give your skin a more even, clear tone, swipe your finger in cover up and rub it into your cheek bones before applying any type of bronzer or powder.
Same with your eyes- use a little bit of cover up or eye shadow primer on the lower lid to get rid of any bags or dark circles, and on the upper lid before putting on eye shadow for a more vibrant color.

I always check PETA-provided lists of makeup companies to make sure my collections are up-to-date. Also, because I am constantly working with wildlife and have domestic animals (rats, cat and dog), I don’t use any heavy facial makeup (foundation, etc.) or hairspray, because inhalation or consumption of it tends to make my animals not feel well. I don’t even use blush – instead (fun tip), I hang upside-down for a bit every morning and make sure my cheeks are well-massaged! I have a light perpetual natural blush.
