OK, so as much as I loved my pooches and as patient as they were when I tried to hug them every 5 minutes when I was growing up, they just weren’t good snugglers. I can’t imagine why they weren’t down with my trying to use them as pillows (um … maybe because they’re not?), but the 5-year-old me had to quickly get a new best buddy: my teddy bear!
While it may be frowned upon for anyone older than 10 to curl up with a stuffed animal, I still hold a special place in my heart for my teddy. Lucky for me, Anicase makes awesome iPhone covers that are cute enough to hug but way more functional:
Anicase not only makes adorable cases (frogs and pandas and owls, oh my!) but also donates 10 percent of its net profits to support endangered species. Plus, every case comes with a fact about the animal. For instance, the super-cute “I’m a Bear” cases that we’re giving away for Free Stuff Friday are based on the Southeast Asian sun bear, also known as the “honey bear.” Pretty cool, huh?
While I might not get to snuggle with my iPhone 4, every time I whip out my phone, I’ll be reminded of my fave polyester friend, and when people ask me about my rad case, I’ll tell them about the endangered sun bear (and peta2, of course!).
If you want to win one of the two cases that we have up for grabs, leave a comment below telling us what your favorite animal was growing up (real or imaginary).*
*Two winners will be chosen at random from submitted animal-friendly comments in which the commenters tell us what their favorite animal was when they were growing up. Entries must be received by July 13, 2012. The winners will be chosen at random and notified on July 16, 2012.
