You probably have already read about the PETA investigation that revealed hell on Earth for more than 18,000 rats and reptiles. But what you may not know is that Mitch Behm, the owner of Global Captive Breeders, raised mice, rats, and rabbits and then recorded himself throwing some of them into tiny enclosures with ferrets, who attacked, maimed, and killed them—all while he was a biology student at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook in 1985. The twisted “predator behavior experiments”—which were not approved by the university—were, according to Behm at the time, partly for his “personal enjoyment.”
This weak and lethargic rat was found in one of many severely crowded tubs among at least 200 other juvenile rats, many of whom were severely dehydrated and dying at Global Captive Breeders, LLC, a company that bred and sold reptiles and rats in Lake Elsinore, California.
For many people, college is a time when they develop lifelong habits and ideals. Affecting change in tens of thousands of people in the last of their formative years is a real possibility for any active college student. The opportunity was there at SUNY–Stony Brook back in 1985, and for those of you on campus today, it’s right outside your dorm room steps! So, get out there! Make your time as a student count—contact us to get active. Make it clear that cruelty to animals won’t be tolerated on your campus—or in your world.

I want to get into marketing but not have to rely on people which have different morals and worldviews than I do to hire me. While I'm figuring this out, I want to show everyone what I believe in and spur them into action against injustices.
