Going vegan is a piece of pie, especially when you have peeps to help show you how ridiculously easy it is (that’s what we’re here for, btw). 
Ellen DeGeneres, my fave vegan celeb (? her!), is sharing the 411 about her cruelty-free diet with her new website—”Going Vegan with Ellen.“ It features tons of animal-friendly celebs, cruelty-free recipes, lifestyle tips, and FAQs that’ll help make anyone’s transition into veganism an über smooth (and delicious) one.
Speaking of delicious… I’m gonna treat myself to some vegan Pecan Chocolate Chip Magic Bars tonight! Thanks for the recipe, Ellen! Om nomnom…

Well let's just say life ain't always beautiful but it's a beautiful ride. I love all my pets and would do anything for them. I have one dog, two cats, a ferret and my babygirl shaymin,(the cutest hedgehog alive) I'm into all different kinds of music. I'm a singer myself and love art.
Father loves to farm, be self sustainable, loves to read, he's a antiques/vintage auctioneer, art student, and looks like mr. Rogers. My mother is a Montessori teacher and is amazing with children, all about local organic foods, loves gardening, cooking etc. my sister who is nine years older than me was into indie music and introduced me to all sorts of things at a young age. This all rubbed of on me and from that base I grew into similar things. I'm an INFJ

I want to get into marketing but not have to rely on people which have different morals and worldviews than I do to hire me. While I'm figuring this out, I want to show everyone what I believe in and spur them into action against injustices.

I’ve always been curious about this- does Ellen just follow a vegan diet or a vegan lifestyle. Because she does show on cover girl commercials, and I’m pretty aure they aren’t vegan friendly.

I sent a comment to Ellen via her show website about the Cover Girl thing well over a year ago. I doubt her people ever showed it to her, but I am certain we are not the only ones to point this out to her. I imagine there is very little she can do if she is under a long-term contract, but it is a shame that she either didn’t do her homework, or she just didn’t care. I can’t quite figure it out…seems so unlike her, but perhaps money trumps compassion?

The website is great. I wish she could campaign or advocate for Cover Girl Cosmetics to be cruelty free. Doesn’t it seem a little hypocritical that she’s a spokeswoman that claims to be vegan, yet promotes a cosmetics company that tests on animals? I think that Ellen is awesome and all…but the whole Cover Girl thing kind of bothers me.

I agree! but Im sure she might be unaware of the awful treatment of animals who are tested for make up. I think we should all try to write her a letter about covergirl and see if she can help us all to make a change!
