Go to Taking Action for Animals for Free!
The Taking Action for Animals conference is just two weeks away, and we’ve got 30 passes to give away. With speakers from PETA, HSUS, Farm Sanctuary, Compassion Over Killing, and more, you don’t want to miss this powerful and motivating two-day event. How do you get one of those passes? Simple, forward PETA’s Australia’s Secret Shame video to your friends and family using this form. We’ll pick the 30 people who send the video to the most people and hook them up with a pass to the conference in DC. Keep in mind that winners will receive a pass to the conference, but will be responsible for travel expenses to Washington, DC and a hotel for the weekend.
So, who is planning on going to the conference? We can’t wait to meet you all there!
On the Road
Summer is under way, and peta2 staffers are on the road with a variety of tours, including Sounds of the Underground, Alkaline Trio with Rise Against, and Warped Tour. At Warped, Jason spent the day skating with Jen O’Brien and Laban at Dave Berthgold’s place, and asked us to tell all of you that are coming to the Long Beach show tomorrow to stop by our tent for an autograph signing with Goldfinger. Don’t forget to wear your favorite peta2 T-Shirt so we can give you a free silicone bracelet!
Oh yeah, before I forget, here’s a photo from our buddies Stretch Arm Strong taken at their show in Athens, Greece. Note the sweet peta2 stencil.
Tuesdays Against Torture
Starting in July, activists will be spending the first Tuesday of each month protesting Wet Seal’s continued support of the cruel fur industry. This new arm of the campaign known simply as “Tuesdays Against Torture” is sure to get the attention of shoppers, not to mention Wet Seal executives, but we need your help to make it a success. Next Tuesday, July 5th, plan on doing something, big or small, to speak up for the animals suffering on fur farms for stores like Wet Seal. You could print out leaflets and hand them out in front of the mall or go into the store nearest you to complain to the manager and fill out a customer comment card.
Whatever you do, be sure to e-mail us at WetSealSucks@peta.org to tell us about it!
