Normally we give you a blog from our road crew on their perspective of the tour, but this one is a little different. We Came As Romans is currently on tour with our great friends in Alesana and the guitarist Lou Cotton is doing something awesome because of our great road crew: he is going vegetarian. In order to get his perspective on it, we asked him to blog about it. Here is Lou in his own words:

My name is Lou Cotton, I play guitar in We Came As Romans. I am currently on “The Emptiness” tour with Alesana, A Skylit Drive, Of Mice and Men and The Word Alive. Sponsoring this tour, and traveling with is an amazing organization named peta2.
On the first day of tour, I talked to some of the peta2 people about what they do, and what they stand for, and I’ve been interested ever since. They explained to me about animal cruelty and showed me some videos of innocent animals being beaten to death. Those images stuck in my mind, and I can’t even look eating meat the same way.
The thought of becoming vegetarian had never really crossed my mind up until a few days ago when I decided to give vegetarianism a try. I’ve always loved animals, in fact, I remember making my mom stop on the side of the highway to save a lost dog when I was younger. The peta2 people are very supportive of me and I plan on spreading the message that they spread to me.
Currently, we’re about two weeks into the tour. I’m going to be sharing my story with you guys and updating you on my progress every few days. If anyone has any good veg recipes, or knows of any good places to eat, please let me know. Also please come check out “The Emptiness” Tour! Hope to talk to you at a show! :)
Hey readers! Help Lou out and give him some advice on good food to eat and other tips! Visit their MySpace or leave comments here, we will be sure to pass them onto Lou!

I have been a vegetarian since birth.
Recently I bought Oliver Sykes’ (Bring Me The Horizon) “Meat Sucks” shirt.
I think being a vegetarian is the way I was born to be.

Lou should get the Peta College Cookbook: lots of yummy recipes and all really quick and easy to make (which is what you need if you’re on tour right now).

My favorite veg dish is ratatouille. Good stuff, but takes some time to make it right.
Since you are new to this vegitarian thing, make sure you get some info about nutrition from the PETA2 guys. You don’t want to end up having health complications later on down the road.

Too long to explain here, it's long enough for a novel.

Father loves to farm, be self sustainable, loves to read, he's a antiques/vintage auctioneer, art student, and looks like mr. Rogers. My mother is a Montessori teacher and is amazing with children, all about local organic foods, loves gardening, cooking etc. my sister who is nine years older than me was into indie music and introduced me to all sorts of things at a young age. This all rubbed of on me and from that base I grew into similar things. I'm an INFJ

I want to get into marketing but not have to rely on people which have different morals and worldviews than I do to hire me. While I'm figuring this out, I want to show everyone what I believe in and spur them into action against injustices.
