Think that going vegan means you have to give up s’mores for life? Yeah, right! Here’s proof!

What you’ll need for vegan s’mores:
Vegan marshmallows (I personally ? Dandies)
Honey-free graham crackers (like accidentally vegan Nabisco Grahams Original graham crackers)
Vegan chocolate (such as an almond Dark Chocolate Dream bar—YUMZO!)

  • For each s’mores sandwich, toast three mini mallows at a time on the stove, and then place two rows (six mini mallows total) on a graham cracker.
  • Drop one square of chocolate on the other graham cracker and pop that in the microwave for 15 seconds at a time, until the chocolate is melted and soft to the touch.
  • Slap the two crackers together, and voilà! Vegan s’mores in a pinch.

Will you be s’morsing it up today?

Amazing! Practically anything can be made vegan, so what’s the excuse?

GAH! D: My life has actually been dedicated to finding vegan marshmallows all week… There is none available anywhere in my city, and I tried twice to make my own, spending about $20 on ingredients that I didn’t have yet, and they were a flop both times. I’m going to have to mail order some.

I always make my s’mores over a bonfire, out in the wilds of a campground or a friend’s backyard (I live in the middle of town, so I’m not allowed fires of my own).
I never thought of toasting marshmallows on the stove, but when I was little I would heat them up in the microwave. The full sized ones expand to about three times their size, and if you leave them too long, they explode all over the place! It’s such fun, if you don’t have to clean up after it, anyway… =) Thanks for the stove idea.
