With the rapid growth of vegan dining options, dissection-choice policies, and overall activism on school campuses, it’s no surprise that colleges and universities are where the animal rights movement is really booming! These days, it seems that no matter which college you attend, there are people there speaking up for animals.

Each group of students is as unique as the school they attend, and it’s no different for the Ivy League. The students of Harvard, Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Princeton, Dartmouth, Yale, and the University of Pennsylvania are definitely doing things their own way and using their schools’ prestigious reputations to help animals. For the third year in a row, the animal rights groups at the “Ancient Eight” are holding The Ivy League Vegan Conference.

The Ivy League Vegan Conference, or iV, is hosted by a different Ivy League university each year and features a number of speakers on issues as diverse as finance, health, and philosophy. Some of the people who will be presenting this year are Arshad Bahl, the founder of Amrita Health Foods; Dr. Michael Greger, a founding member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine; and Mia MacDonald, the executive director of Brighter Green.

This year’s conference will be held at Princeton University from February 7 to 9. You can check it out here!
