Katia Rodriguez Earns peta2 Star Street Teamer Award!

Monterrey, Mexico, Street Teamer and former PETA intern Katia Rodriguez has done so many awesome things to raise awareness for animals that she’s being given a peta2 Star Street Teamer Award!

What awesome things has Katia done? Here are just a few:

She has organized a drive for food and materials for her local animal shelter, at which she regularly volunteers.

She has set up tables outside high schools in her area to talk about McCruelty, fur, and the Animal Liberation Project.

She is the administrator of a vegetarian group in her city that organizes monthly meetings for more than 1,000 members.

She’s participated in protests against McDonald’s and bullfighting.

Katia is also vegan and part of the peta2 Youth Advisory Board, where she helps peta2 with new campaigns and ideas.

In addition to being recognized as a Star Street Teamer, Katia will also receive a framed certificate acknowledging her hard work!

I have always lived in Los Angeles but my family and I went to Mexico for my parents wedding. So we came back to LA. I don't like LA but were here already what can I do unless I move out and find my own housing. I have always liked animals and it was til I was like about 14 when I learned about tests they do on animals and I began to explore animal cruelty because I was interested it in it. I have watched videos that just broke my heart so that's why today I'm doing all I can to not buy anything that has harmed an animal and I'm vegetarian .
