Street Teamer Leslie Joseph came through for peta2.com when we asked for letters to the editor about students’ right to humane alternatives to dissection. Leslie writes, “Compassionate students want to study biology without dissecting animals. Sophisticated computer simulations, videodiscs and models have been developed to meet the needs of these students. All the studies of this issue show that students who use alternatives perform as well or better than students who use dissection.”

Former PETA intern Mike Croland also had a letter to the editor published. Mike’s letter about the cruelty behind foie gras appeared in Newsday. Take a look at the letter here. Take notes – Mike must be doing something right if he’s in Newsday!
Head over to MascotMovie.com for a wonderful new movie that premiered at the Toronto Film Festival, Behind the Mascot. If you click on “Watch Movie Clips” you can view a clip called “Mascots Against KFC.”
Well, I love Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, CSI, Criminal Minds, Doctor Who and comic books (I mean, my profile pic IS Damian Wayne and Bat-Cow...). I'm kind of spazzy and I tend to ramble... I'm also an obsessive perfectionist...heh heh...a science/tech nerd and a vegetarian.
