Liberation Hits the University of Michigan!

Last week we visited the University of Michigan with the Liberation Project. As you can see, we weren’t the only group raising awareness about social justice issues. It was social justice week at the university, and there were a variety of different organizations raising awareness about a various human rights issues. We fit right in with our display, by showing the similarities between human rights, and cruelty toward animals. Students also learned about the environmental impacts of factory farming. Not only is factory farming a cruel practice toward animals, it also contributes more to global warming than ALL transportation combined. Unbelievable right? There’s no doubt that animal rights, human rights, and environmental justice are all connected.
We ended the week with a screening of Meat Your Meat and a discussion about veganism. Check back next week, for the latest on the Liberation Project spring tour!
