New Aiden Interview and Contest

I’m sure by now you’re all familiar with our McCruelty campaign—you know, the one that targets that evil corporation with the scary clown mascot because they refuse to switch over to chicken suppliers who use a less cruel method of slaughter.

You’re no doubt also familiar with an old friend of peta2—Aiden! These Victory Records veterans have been pissing off parents and selling out tours for the better part of a decade. We recently caught up with the man behind it all, frontman and solo artist William Control, when he signed our petition against McDonald’s. Aiden may be known as a horror punk band, but they’re not down with the horrors chickens face at the hands of McDonald’s suppliers.

I used to like eating at McDonalds, before I was a vegetarian of course! I no longer support them because:
1- I doubt that they treat their animals with respect
2- I couldn’t get a straight answer from anywhere when I e-mailed the company and asked about their methods of slaughter, so they probably lie about what they do
3- It’s a huge corporate company that’s taking over the world and telling everyone it’s okay to be unhealthy!

I’ve been boycotting Mcdonalds ever since I was around 12/13 (It’s been so long I can’t even remember quite when I started ;P) after watching some of the videos about how they really treat their animals, as well as all the other stuff they’re involved in around the world and how they treat their workers in other countries. (Have a look at this for a lil more info, and a laugh as well- I lasted until 2058 ;P http://www.mcvideogame.com)

McDonalds suppliers are disgustingly cruel, and the company is deceptive with their customers. I could never support a company that refuses to be more humane, and won’t even switch to CAK.

    1. They serve fast food. – not healthy.
    2. They serve meat.- not kind to animals.
two to start and on and on.

Before I heard about PETA (before the age of 11) the only place my family and I would eat out was Mcdonalds as this is the main fast food company in the UK. I stopped eating Mcdonalds at the age of 10 when there was a rat infestation at our local branch. I’ve been vegetarian since i first had my eyes opened by PETA about the cruelty going on around me. I’ve raised in the thousands of pounds for Animal rehoming centres and various other animal based charities as they are voiceless and need to be spoken out for and I even nearly got arrested by doing a Kfc protest when i was 13.
Appart from the Animal cruelty Mcdonalds cause they can’t even produce a healthy vegetarian option ( the veggie burger being nearly 600 calories) So I thank you Peta for opening my eyes to this obomination and carry on the good work :)

I have always been quite sickened by McDonalds for the fact that their food is greasy, disgusting, and extremely unhealthy.
I’m a huge animal lover, so when I found out how they treat their chickens, I was utterly disgusted by it.
It shouldn’t be legal for them to treat chickens as they do. Anyone with a heart can see how terribly wrong it is!
Their commercials for chicken nuggets disgust the living hell out of me.
The McDonalds industry should be shut down!

I don’t support McDonalds because of the terrifyingly unethical and unjust manner in which their animals are slaughtered. In fact, is there even an ethical way to “slaughter” anything that can think and feel pain like we do? Well, there are certainly better ways, but of course “McNasty” continuously fails to utilize these methods. I’m absolutely horrified by the chicken cruelty that I’ve seen at the hands of the McDonalds corporation. Almost equally as horrifying, is the way they indoctrinate our youth, raising them to believe that McDonalds’ food is “good” and “fun” (happy meals?). All the while, obesity rates climb. The majority of people turn their heads, because it’s easier to ignore the cruel facts than to do something about it. Thank you, Peta, for raising awareness of this issue. McDonalds sucks. Aiden Rules. Peace.

I’ve never really liked McDonald’s, even when I was a little kid and did eat meat, because their food is disgustingly unhealthy. Now that I’m semi-vegan and full-on vegetarian, I am well-aware of the horrendous treatment of animals undergo in the industries. McDonald’s, however, take it one step farther, though it’s hard to imagine it worse, by scalding these poor creatures alive, and slitting their throats! And that’s just when they get there. Before even in the factory, they are crammed into crated so tightly that their limbs are broken and they suffocate. If this were happen to any human, the perpetrator would be given the death sentence, no doubt. What makes animals, who are all-the-more defenseless, any different? We should be working harder to protect those who cannot fend for themselves, not ignoring their tortured cries. I don’t support McDonald’s or any other establishment that blatantly tortures their animals when there are many other alternatives, even to methods of killing animals.

I don’t support McDonalds because I have seen several videos from peta2 and on mccruelty.com about what goes on in the factories that supply food to McDonalds, and it’s simply disgusting. I am appalled that McDonalds won’t switch to CAK and they are so misleading about all of their food. They are the secondest largest buyer of pork, but they have little to no items on their menu that say they have pork! Even if I ate meat, knowing what I know now, I would never eat at McDonalds.

I can’t say I’ve never supported McDonald’s because I’ve eaten it when I was younger and I’ve eaten it a few times this year, but I definitly don’t plan on it anymore. I should’ve stopped a long time ago because not only is it extremely unhealthy, but because McDonald’s is such a big corportation they need a large supplies of meat so the places that supply them just get to do whatever the hell they want to the animals. Not only is the way that the chickens are treated inhumane, but it’s unsanitary as well. It’s not just the chickens either the cows aren’t treated right either. It’s not as inhumane as the chickens are treated, but with the cows they feed them corn and grains instead of grass because it causes them to gain weight and thus produce more meat, but because their digestive systems aren’t used to this it also causes massive ecoli build up. This lady’s 3 year old son died because a burger he ate from Jack In The Box had ecoli. This may be a different restaurant, but I know for a fact that McDonald’s does the same thing. So all-in-all I no longer support McDonald’s because I’d like to live a longer life without unhealthy and unsanitary food.

I don’t support McDonald’s for the very fact that they haven’t changed their technique of killing chickens into a more Humane way. Not to mention I’m a vegeterian so the food there pretty much disgusts me anyways. I think that if people are going to eat animals anyways then they should atleast have the decentsy of making sure the animals don’t suffer in the process! There’s not point in torturing the poor animals and the fact that they do just shows how sadistic some people can be.

Peta 2, I would like to begin by saying that my being a vegetarian has absolutely no effect on my choice not to eat McDonalds. Before I became a vegetarian at the age of 8, I refused to eat McDonalds, because some how I had over heard about 4 chickens being forced into one cage – having that image in your mind, you think, would be enough to put anyone off right? Unfortunately as we all know, millions of people eat it every day.
I personally do not support McDonalds because of their complete lack of sensitivity. How on earth can a group of people sit down one day, and decide to create this million pound business based around the pure torture of animals? How can those millions of people go through that every day – is it even human? To have that much insensitivity towards another living creature?!
To me, it sounds exactly like something you would see in a horror movie, and, when you see images and videos like the ones used in the William Francis interview, it really is a horror.
And if that isn’t bad enough, how on earth can McDonalds even begin to think selling this disgusting product as ‘food’??
The amount of meat used in their products is sparse, they may as well spare the animals’ lives and continue using every thing else, because I cannot see how on earth the food actually tastes like meat with all that rubbish it’s cooked in.
I really am quite against McDonalds, and will continue to answer them with ‘I’m sorry, I don’t talk to murderer’s’ every time they ask if I would like something whilst waiting with a friend.
    What a McJoke!

I think it’s disgusting alone to eat another animal, but how mcdonald’s murders animals is even more disgusting. Animals should have the same rights to live as us and how Mcdonald’s blinds people by throwing in Happy Meals, A happy clown as their mascot, aplay area and happy commercials is totally messed up and just a bunch of lies, overall murdering animals and giving them a short amount of time that they have to suffer while they live is disturbing

When I was wee I use to eat McDonalds, like so many others. Then I watched a documentary of how they made the chicken nuggets in the factory. The standards were so disgusting-they were picking things off the floor and putting them back on the conveyor belt, not washing their hands, coughing all the time ect. So my mum never let me go back there. When I got older they claimed to have changed their ways of making the nuggets so I went back to eat there. But never bought chicken nuggets ever again. Then when I became a teen I turned vegetarian thanks to Peta and I saw the video of how they killed chickens and it appalling. In Scotland they say that they kill the animals humanely. I don’t believe them. I don’t eat there anymore-we cant trust them! We never have been able to. Its fatty and greasy and unhealthy and boosts child obesity. Their chips go straight to your thighs! EEW. It should close for good! Don’t buy the burgers its basically a heart-attack in a bun. I’ve been veggi for 7 years, now that’s something I’m McLovin’.

When i first saw the videos on peta showing what chickens go through especially the life of a chicken video, i was just flat out disgusted. I seen how big chicken companies flat out just torture their chickens, I was shocked to find out that they supply to huge fast food chains like Mcdonalds and even KFC. I immediately stopped eating at McDonalds and KFC and a couple other fast food chains that i thought could pick better chicken distributors. Then after that i decided that no animal should have to be tortured and that is when i became a vegetarian. No one around me really understood this choice and are still trying to get me to eat meat, but I know that i am making a difference and that no animal should have to go through such cruelty. McDonalds should really just be ashamed of themselves they’re murdering for money and its not right and it should not be allowed to happen, just because animals are defenseless does not mean they should have to go through this.

As a kid, I never liked mcdonalds food. Whenever we went, seldom though it was, I never ordered anything. As I got older we got pet ducks to show for 4-h. Mind you we treated them with love as ou would any family pet. However, I started having gruesome images of them and other animals being slaughtered in my mind whenever I ate meat or used leather so I became vegan. I recently learned these visions are a symptom of bipolar disorder, which I suffer from. Now I just have visions of mercilessly toruring and slaughtering Mcdonalds Corp. ;p

I don’t support McDonalds for so many reasons.
Firstly, when I was seven years old my dad took me there. I hated mcDonalds as it was but I went a long anyway. While my dad was eating his chicken burder, he bit into something hard. It was chicken bone.
Me and my dad have never been back to Mcdonalds because we think it is inhumane and the methods in which they kill the chickens are clearly cruel as otherwise there wouldn’t be bones in people’s meals.
Secondly, my sisters friend used to work there as a part time job, while in the kitchen he noticed that some of his co-workers had been using the oil used to cook the meat to also fry the chips in, that they also scrape food off the floor and re-cook it, to then serve to customers and that they use the ‘wrong’ meat in some burgers if they have run out.
Thirdly, why would anyone want to eat the greasy food that comes from their anyway. Especially greasy food that was once an innocent living animal?
I could never support McDonalds, especially after I watched undercover footage on it.

I decided about 7 years ago to boycott McDonalds food not only because of their unhealthy food and all the additives they put in it, but also because of the way they treat the animals they torture. About one year ago I went with a friend to a McDonalds because we hadn’t eaten all day and were starving. I had a bite of a chicken nugget and as I was chewing it I literally had to spit it out because I was going to throw up from the way it tasted. I stayed hungry for another 3 hours until I was able to go home and eat. I refuse to eat there until this day and strongly believe that McDonalds is inhumane to the animals. Morningstar and boca for me :)

I do not support McDonalds for several reasons – But the first and foremost one being the deplorable, absolutely disgusting way they treat the chickens they slaughter.
I went vegetarian 4 years ago when I was 12 andI stopped eating McDonalds, but then after watching the videos and reading all about it on the McCruelty website; I learnt the truth behind the well known name. Besides the fact that the food there is greasy, has no health benefits and is filled with calories; McDonalds only makes it worse by their cruel and unnecessary treatment and slaughter methods of the chickens who are already crippled by their own weight due partially to artificial growth hormones.
I encourage all my friends and family not to eat from this despicable fast food chain, as the only way to bring it down is with knowledge and using that knowledge to take action.

McDonalds is horrible! It is truly gut wrenching the way they go about this. The slitting of throats, collarbones crushing, a mesh of blood and sinue! They hack desperately at these poor defensless animals just to make a meal for our selfish, sick, heartless humankind! Not just chickens, but the cows too! All animals should be treated with love! I am through sitting back and letting these animals go on being tortured and having to endure the pain and suffering that they are put through, just to satisfy humans wants. PETA helped me become the healthy vegitarian i am today. McDonalds is another example of the ignorance people show each and everyday. We need to get the word out there and make people see! I will NEVER support such cruelty!!!

To be honest, I loved McDonalds until I mistakenly stumbled upon thys site. I honestly don’t remember how I got to thys site. However, I can say, again, in honesty, I don’t think I will ever eat at McDonalds again. I didn’t realize that the chickens were boiled alive. That’s like someone pouring hot coffee at me as soon as I wake up. I don’t think I would enjoy that very much. Then, I saw that part of one of the videos where the poor thing was fluttering it’s wings in absent denial of it’s own demise. Whenever I see shyt like that, I think of my cat, Patches, getting hit by a car. Not cool. I honestly can say that I don’t think I will be eating McDonalds until I’m eighty- five years old, senile, and my grandchildren bring me McDonalds for lunch on the Fourth of July while I’m in a nursing home in Maine somewhere. I hope they go out of business sooner than that, but America wont allow that to happen. This is my explanation of why I now hate McDonalds. By the way, just for the record, both my parents have a family history of dementia, so please don’t hold it against me if I eat McDonalds when I am eighty- five, senile, and in a nursing home in Maine on the fourth of July.

I don’t support Mcdonalds and haven’t for years because it promotes obesity in children for one with it’s empty calories and for two as a vegetarian you can’t even order fries at Mcdonalds because they are cooked in the same grease as the chicken etc. GROSS! So this is just one more great reason to blacklist the franchise. It boggles my mind what people will do for money…is it wrong of me to say I’d much rather see the humans running those machines being tossed into them? Thank you Wil and Peta2 for getting the word out about this.

I don’t support McDonald’s (before I knew about this) because they have meat in almost everything. I’m a vegan and can’t get one thing from there. At least other places have some options and don’t put beef in their fries. Plus, it’s really unhealthy and just no good for anyone.

I used to love McDonald’s back when I still ate meat. Still dropped by there sometimes to pick up a McFlurry or fries even when I became vegetarian, but since I found out about the McCruelty campaign and saw the undercover footage, I haven’t visited it once.

I don’t support McDonalds, obviously because of the horrific things they do to their animals! Plus, I’m vegan, and they don’t offer anything for me. Not that I would WANT to eat their NASTY food. I’ve been a vegetarian since I was 10 years old; I’m now 23. I still don’t understand how those behind McDonalds can justify what they do to animals. In an era where obesity is so high, can you imagine how much McDonalds switching to healthy, vegetarian options would help not only the animals, but humans as well? I fully support PETA, Wil, Aiden, and all of the wonderful human beings trying to make a positive difference for our animal friends.

well before I heard about the crap that the suppliers did to the chickens, I avoided it cuz the food tasted like total crap and cuz it was so overwhelming unhealthy. the guy in Super Size Me proved it. but I still went for their fries…. until I heard about the slaughterhouses. I’ve been a strong supporter against animal cruelity and this new just angered me, so now I’m against them:]

I would never support McDonalds. A food industry that abuses their rights to raise animals for profit deserves NO support. They taken for granted their opportunity for capitalism and killed animals without remorse. An innocent, young chicken decapitated for what purpose? So they can deep fry it in cheap oil and sell to customers for more currency. McDonald’s CEO has no guilt whatsoever in ordering low-paid employees to sell greasy, unappetizing morsels of pathetic food to children. The injustice disgusts me and I really wonder why the world hasn’t open their eyes to this evil. I do not support McDonalds!

I don’t support McDonalds at all. McDonalds refuses to get their chicken from a non cruel source, and I simply will not have it. I have been vegetarian for a little over a year, but even before that, I boycotted this place. I refuse to buy anything from them, even a drink. Plus, the food there always made me sick when I ate it anyways.

I don’t support mcdonalds because of the cruel treatment of the animals, and because I myself own chickens, and there really sweet animals. I would never want to see my animals be treated in such a horrific and inhumane nature, and I do not believe that any animal should be treated that way, at all. I believe there are better ways to kill an animal for food that cruel torture. It’s sick.

The food they serve at McDonald’s is unhealthy and contributes to the growing obesity problem in America. After seeing the documentary Super Size Me, I can’t believe anyone would even step foot in McDonald’s. It disgusts me that my friends still eat there.

I don’t support McDonald’s because they kill animals in a very cruel way that is comparable to how the Nazis treated Jews and other ethnic/ religious groups during WWII. Also, because of the hormones and other shit they put in their food. It’s disgusting and it’ll WILL make you gain weight. Lots of it.

I don’t eat Mcdonalds because of how cruel the chickens are treated. They torture them with the beak clipping, sometimes even killing them and the roughness they use while picking the chickens up and moving them most of the time causing their legs to break makes me sick to my stomach. Also it’s unhealthy, I haven’t eaten at Mcdonalds or any fast food restaurants in over five years. They all need to be boycotted.

Theyre food is nasty and VERY unhealthy!
    They kill helpless animals and
When I was about Seven I watch a video[On PETA]And it sickened me. I NEVER EVER ate that kind of shit again
It kills me inside that people can acctually bring up and animal just so it can be slaughtered!

I wrote a paper on McDonalds a d globalization entitled “McEarth.” When McDonald’s first opened in India, it was feeding french fries cooked in beef tallow to Hindus who believe that cows are sacred animals and central to their religion. Clearly McDonald’s does not give a fuck.

I don’t support McDonalds not only because of the footage I’ve seen of how their chickens are killed, but because they don’t seem to care. It’s disgusting to think that people treat animals in that fashion and see nothing wrong with it. I wonder how those CEO’s and other high up people at McDonalds would feel if they were strung up by their feet, scalded alive and had their throats slit. I’m sure they’d be against it then.
I’m not a fan of any of the fast food chains, but at least Burger King seems to care enough to provide Morningstar Veggie burgers. sometimes you have to suck it up and get fast food because you don’t have time for a sit down meal. McDonalds has NO veggie options. even the salads have meat on them.

I don’t support McDonalds because any company that treats both its employees and its food animals as badly as it does deserves to fail. Ethical business practices mean treating your meat sourcing AND your employees like the responsibility it is.

When I was a kid I used to eat at Mcdonalds, so young, simple minded, and uninformed on what i was putting in my mouth. When I saw the undercover footage that PETA had it made me want to vomit! I hated myself for ever supporting such a terrible corporation! I stopped eating there 3 years ago and have never been able to even watch a commercial since without nearly gagging. Nobody should be legally able to do those things to chickens! I DID cry when I saw the video and I couldn’t believe people could be so cold-hearted to beat such innocent, smart creatures =(

McDonald’s food was nasty before I went veg. It’s greasy and has a million calories, yet lacks so many nutrients. I don’t see what sounds so good about eating chunks of tortured chicken flesh. I don’t support McDonald’s and I probably never will, even if they switch to a way that isn’t cruel. Animals are people, too.

Mcdonald’s is such a horrible american icon, they kill the most chickens in the worst way, and then that chicken isn’t even what really goes into their chicken nuggets(ever noticed when you were little why you ALWAYS got a boot shaped nugget?) Also, as proven by Morgan Spurlock, McDonald’s is one of the main reasons there are so many obease people.

The manner in which McDonald’s cooks their meat is ridiculously wrong. There are much kinder ways so one does not cause physical distress or pain to the poor creature. That I why I don’t McDonalds, and I never will. It’s cruel, it’s bad for one’s health, and it really does taste gross!!

First, before I knew about the cruelty that happens in McDonald’s slaughterhouses, I avoided them because their food is greasy and nasty anyway, even their fries. I went veg for my health anyway, and that food is so ungodly unhealthy that it isn’t funny anyway. Then I learned what they put their chickens through and..well, either one is enough to sicken me so both together makes McDonald’s a disgusting abomination of a corporation.

As a kid, I was and am still curious about the great big world we live in, and I thought nothing of animal abuse. But for some or no completely good reasons, I was getting sicker and weaker. Then one day I heard about PETA while I was on the internet. I got a little curious, and I went veg after finding out meat was one of the reasons I was sicker. Right now, I'm still trying to give up meat for my health. But I'm getting there!
