The year just started, and I’m already bursting with good news to share! Rise Against is kicking off the new year with a North American tour, and peta2 is going along for the ride! The peta2 tour crew will be joining Rise Against, along with A Day To Remember and The Menzingers, starting January 17 at the Austin Music Hall. Tickets are on sale now, so pick yours up and be sure to say “Hi” to our lovely peta2 road warriors, who will be out there working hard on our Meatless Mondays campaign—reminding everyone that the best thing that we can do for animals and for the planet is to consider a meat-free diet. Even one day a week does make a difference.
As most of you know, PETA’s headquarters is in Norfolk, Virginia, and thanks to our friends at the Ted Constant Convocation Center, we have two pairs of tickets to give away for when the tour comes to town on January 24! Well let's just say life ain't always beautiful but it's a beautiful ride. I love all my pets and would do anything for them. I have one dog, two cats, a ferret and my babygirl shaymin,(the cutest hedgehog alive) I'm into all different kinds of music. I'm a singer myself and love art.
Father loves to farm, be self sustainable, loves to read, he's a antiques/vintage auctioneer, art student, and looks like mr. Rogers. My mother is a Montessori teacher and is amazing with children, all about local organic foods, loves gardening, cooking etc. my sister who is nine years older than me was into indie music and introduced me to all sorts of things at a young age. This all rubbed of on me and from that base I grew into similar things. I'm an INFJ

I want to get into marketing but not have to rely on people which have different morals and worldviews than I do to hire me. While I'm figuring this out, I want to show everyone what I believe in and spur them into action against injustices.

Rise against has been my favorite band since i was seven i am about to turn fifteen, I used to beg my mom to let me go to their concerts all the time! I honestly went stronger into my animal cruelty free thing after I figured out Tim of Rise Against was vegetarian he kept me motivated to keep going. Kids always made fun of me for not causing harm to animals but I kept my head high, I now talk to people about taking up an animal cruelty free lifestyle. I have changed some lives but I did this after seeing Tim at veg fest Denver a few years ago. I love rise against’s music and life style always have and will.

i have always been in love with rise against. and when i found out that there are some hidden things about the environment,animal liberation, and they are all vegan/vegetarian made me love them even more! when im being a activist like rise against for these helpless animals i can sort of relate to them. not being able to speak for yourelf, having no freedom, surrounded by neglect. from that i felt super empathetic towards animals and try to influence everyone with it. you could call me an eco-terrorist- but im just spreading the gospel haha. so rise against is definitely my fav band and i make everyone listen to it and interpret it <3

When I see bands being active with peta/peta2 it’s inspiring to get more active and be like all the great bands that care enough about animals to use their fame to get the word out about animal rights! Rise Against is a great band and they are a positive influence to follow!

I’m going to tell you how Rise Against not only influenced me, but my boyfriend as well.
Rise Against really sends a message through their songs to many. A message that is so powerful it can knock the wind out of someone. Listing to them speak on issuse not only animal related, but world related as well makes me want to go out and fight, fight towards what’s right. They make me want to be a voice for the voiceless. Rise Against gives me the power to speak up on topics that strike the heart. Just how they do in their songs. They are not afraid to speak out.
My boyfriend and I are both vegetairans who listen to Rise Against. They inspire us to get others to follow this lifestyle as well. All in all, the boys in Rise Against are very powerful people and they should get a little more reconized for what they are doing, Much love. <3
